You guys are waaaay off base on that whole fortnite lootbox story. First of all, the save the world mode always HAD "loot llamas" (loot crates) that were bought with v-bucks (the fake/real money currency). Couple things, though. First, people never really spent money on those things that I've ever heard. You can earn v-bucks at a pretty solid clip in StW mode through gameplay, and you can take those v-bucks over to the battle royale mode to essentially "grind cosmetics" instead of paying for skins. The change that you read about recently is that they changed it so that those loot llamas are now transparent. So you see the contents before you buy it. And, yeah, I assume you can toss a few v-bucks at it to reroll it, but I hadn't heard that yet. Honestly, it's more of their continued move AWAY from blind boxes as they have been for some time. Heck, they've been throwing llama's at StW world players so much that I've always just assumed they gave up on that being a revenue stream a long time ago. Save the World mode gets dumped on a lot but nobody ever gives it a real chance, or even tries it before crapping on it. Yet, they've remained pretty good to the fans of that side of the game, despite it not being a big money-maker for them, and it really goes unnoticed. hate to see something positive they did twisted like this into a negative.

<i>"If you are someone who has played every single game, and also has an eidetic memory to remember 'all-of-the-fuck'."</i> - <b>Jim Sterling describes Square Enix's target demographic (2019)</b>

Why is it so important to people that Kingdom Hearts fans repent and confess that the story of that game series is stupid and convoluted? Why are so many people so emotionally attached to making sure that others self-flagellate for liking a dumb videogame story which, on its surface, seems no more dumb than the average JRPG story? I've never even played a KH game but it seems weird that Jim Sterling's fans are on such an obsessive crusade lately to make sure everyone knows how silly their anime game story is.

Another fun podcast. Though sad that Gavin was able to contribute like for 5% of the whole thing. He obviously just needs to accept Mickey Mouse as his lord and saviour. 😉 Anyway, due to Jim and Laura's takes on KH3, I will probably pick it up. I was honestly afraid to because I have only played the original KH1, 2, and CoM. Thought I was too far out of the loop. Happy to hear I am not, especially after watching those summation videos. 🙂
