Into the dragon's lair we go!

Here is Chapter 66, which continues the daring prisoner rescue from the  Xen-Nuchek mines.

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

Tefler

28th Dec - I've done the final edit of chapter 66, correcting a few mistakes and adding in a few more lines here and there. I replaced the old version on this post with the latest.

Merry Christmas to all of you too! Let me know what you think of the latest chapter, I'm curious to hear the verdict! :)

Thoroughly enjoyed the chapter Tefler. Especially liked the portion from Faye's perspective, which gave some insights into her that were just great. Especially loved her trying to justify to herself why she was keeping the images of John.

Muledrvr

Merry Xmas. Well,,,, That was an interesting turn at the end.

Pretty good chapter! Thanks for getting it out before Xmas. Have yourself a good holiday. The plot of the other Progenitor is thickening.

I do have a question. Why spend time going back over old chapters and re-writing? In chapter 3 I noticed that her awareness of hearing Johns thoughts had been revised and this carried on thru chapters 4, 5 and 6. While they might not have been perfect, there is never a need to "polish the bowling ball". Please, no more revisions.

Tefler

It's definitely always been 500 metres. :-) From Chapter 7: "At just over 500 metres in length it dwarfed the couple and their comparatively tiny freighter. "

Tefler

Hey Will, can you tell me the specific part of chapter 3? I glanced through it again, and wasn't sure what you were referring to. The original chapter was very short, only 1 page long consisting of just a sex scene, so I added a little background dialogue.

Merry Christmas everyone! I was so glad when this chapter posted since I was called into work today. Keep up the great work.

Wow, wow and WOW. I thoroughly enjoy every bit of this series. Thank you so much for having this chapter ready so soon. Everything is just refreshing.

It was a good Xmas this year. I went and saw Rogue One (awesome), put together a Lego Slave I set (awesome, again), and got to read chapter 66 of Three Square Meals (epic awesome). All in all, a fine Xmas. Thanks for making it all the better, Tef.

The best, along with misguidedchild, the only two authors i support

CJ Mora

Great job! I hope when you're done with this you post a compilation copy of the entire story, maybe on Amazon or something. This series is a keeper!

Tefler

When I finish the story, I plan to go back and clean up the earlier chapters, fixing all the punctuation and grammar errors. Once that's done, I'll convert them to ereader format and try selling the story on Amazon.

Tony Bates

Hey Tefler, I just wanted to say how easy this is to read on Storyline, after reading on Lit it is much easier to follow, thanks for the heads up. T

Tefler

A few people have mentioned that, so it's been doubly worthwhile in publishing the story there. I initially assumed that anyone who reads one of those sites probably read the other too, but it seems that isn't the case. I've received dozens of emails from people reading the story for the first time on storiesonline, so its been great to gather a wider audience.

Morningfrost

Don't know if this question has been answered before (probably so, since I imagine it's a common question), but about how long is the average time for a release? I've only been around since the SOL release, but so far it seems like around maybe 3 weeks per release...which at the size of the various chapters probably makes you one of the fastest writers I've read lol. The fact that you do it so quickly with quality content is just a bonus. Also happy that even though Three Square Meals has a lot of length to the story, that it doesn't repeat itself very often, unlike many other long stories that have a tendency to talk about the same things repeatedly (if you've read Arlene and Jeff, you know exactly what I'm talking about when I say that in later chapters they say the same things about Alphas vs. Enchanced Alphas entirely too often).

Tefler

Hey Morningfrost. It's normally about 1.5-2 weeks per chapter. I was releasing one a week, but I've been making them a bit longer recently to make sure you guys get good value for money. I'm aiming for 3 chapters a month, each one about 20-25k words, although the last few have all been longer.

Tefler

I think people find the sex scenes repetitious, so I've made an attempt to vary those up to try and keep them interesting. I do make an effort to try and make each ground fight and space fight different, so hopefully no one is getting bored of those yet!

Morningfrost

Yep, definitely the fastest writer I've read lol. On SOL the writers typically fall into one of three categories: those who finish the whole story before posting (usually in installments), those who try and keep to a weekly schedule, and those who post as soon as a chapter has been written and proofread. That latter category is basically your style, but the difference is that your chapters are at least double the length of what you would typically see on SOL. For comparison's sake, "Game World" by The Blind Man is about 3000kb, comprises 973 pages on my Surface's reading app, and contains 91 chapters. "Three Square Meals" is currently sitting at 6641kb and 2218 pages in only 66 chapters lol. In other words, each of your chapters is roughly triple the length. So kudos, Tefler. You're putting out a superior product in basically all respects :)

Ok here I am again, acting like a crackhead looking for a fix!!!!!!! And I blame you Tefler! LoL for being such a great writer and making such a great story and SUCH great characters. My hats off to you.

Tefler

Hey Roy. Thanks for the compliments, but sorry to have you still jonesing for a fix! ;-) The editors came up with a ton of great suggestions, and I've added another 2,000 words to part 1. I'll be finishing off part 2 tomorrow hopefully, in which case, I'll put it up on the Patreon site then.

Just means a better read lol
