This was a really nice intro video to the girls actually. Apart from Taeyeon, Sooyoung is the only member of this group I really know. She was in the first kdrama I ever watched, and I fell head over heels for her character 😂. Discovering her savage side was a great bonus haha, and wow is she absolutely stunning. Definitely an early bias for me, but I really do need to dive into this group's content more and learn about all the members. Looking forward to the other SNSD stuff you have coming up!

About sunny: actually Lee sooman didn’t know she was gonna audition, she was a trainee in another company then when things fell out in the other company the trainees went to other companies to audition and she did went to sm without his knowing and got accepted, no one did know he was her uncle for a long time and he himself didn’t know either. Her skills has been great since debut so no one really talked about getting into the company through her uncle but there are some who make jokes about that, she seem to be taken them well but she did admit before because of these type of jokes she became anxious about having solo debut (She is the only member that doesn’t have solo songs till now ) This is a good clip to kinda introduce the members. Their episodes on knowing bros and other content from this era has been super fun I definitely recommend them. They also had a reality show this year and it was so fun and lovely to watch I highly recommend as well.

Sooyoung! My first bias ever! And I would say the way she performed always caught my eye. Even when she didn’t get a lot of screen time. Concert Sooyoung is always my fav. I would say they kinda have always been this free and chaotic. But it’s definitely been more with experience.

Girls Generation have always been like this. There is something about 2nd gen groups. Mainly because they cut their teeth on multiple variety shows, where if you weren't witty or crazy, you were not going to be shown. I'm not sure about other companies but I know SM artists were partially trained for variety, as well. Super Junior is the OG witty, crazy idols, and they are close to Girls Generation so some of that rubbed off, lol. There is a funny story about Yuri's training and how one day she was going to have to show off a talent. She practiced and the day came where she was asked to perform it. It was in front of the other GG members but also Super Junior. So she begins and runs across the room screaming in imitation of a t-rex. Everyone laughs and loves it, but she is then told all she had to do was sing. Eunhyuk of Super Junior asks her to do the imitation every now and then still as it was so funny.

Oh yay!! I rly hope u get a chance to dive more into their variety stuff, they’re always a ton of fun, even the older ones. SNSD has always been this unhinged and I feel like the same goes for a lot of 2nd gen groups too. I think variety shows back then were a lot less polished than the ones we have today and generally had more active outdoor games so i think it wdve been hard to maintain a ‘proper’ image lol. And like what Christina mentioned, there wasn’t rly social media or anyth back then so they had to rly *work* for their screen time on tv haha and I suppose it was also a diff time and there wasn’t as much pressure to say the right stuff or look/act perfect
