PAUL!!! This is such a happy surprise on a dreary Friday work day!! I’m so happy you were able to listen to their debut album, you kind of have a sense of their music style. I agree with your rankings: Blue Flame and Sour Grapes are my top listens (even lately) from them. Fearless is an amazing performance to watch as well as Blue Flame (I hope you can check it out, you may be right about the hips lol). It’s also shocking how blatant they cursed in their songs lol! As a HUGE Chaewon stan, her duality really rocked me during her performance. It was like in Izone, she debuted with a cute persona then all of a sudden the last few comebacks showed a different version of herself that even netizens noticed (she was labeled as the hidden gem of Izone). As for the listening parties, I think you should listen however you feel would be most enjoyable to you! Maybe ask fans of the group to see if a song needs lyrics or not? I know in Lesserafim, Chaewon and Yunjin have written and produced songs (Chaewon having experience from Izone). I’m super HYPED for the leniverse reaction, I haven’t laughed like that in ages and I’m glad you can check it out 😊

You should listen to Yunjin’s self written song raise your glass, I think you’ll really enjoy it. They also have a documentary which is really good.

there is a lot of performances of Blue Flame, they promoted it alongside Fearless. they just performed it live at a college festival, there is fancams from the crowd but there is also an official upload on their channel.

Chaewon and Yunjin participated on the debut album and I believe they have credits on the upcoming album as well. I would recommend checking out Yunjin's self written and composed song on their channel. It's called Raise Your Glass

I think the choreography of Fearless is my favorite thing about the song. I'm sure Blue Flame is just as good! Your enthusiasm and appreciation is super motivating 🥺. Thank you for your support

I saw some clips of their university performance. Was that their first time performing in a concert sense as Le Sserafim?

I heard really great things about the doc. Anything that's compared to PIXYtv piques my interest

Great reaction, you pointed out a bunch of stuff that I've gradually realised the more I listened to this album. The songs have a more simplistic structure than other kpop songs, for sure. As someone who listens to a lot of Western pop that doesn't bother me, it actually feels very nicely familiar, but I can totally see it gelling less with other kpop fans for that reason. And I do also wish The Great Mermaid did more, it's the song I definitely come back to the least on this album. Also, the filter on that song stands out to me too, and it makes sense with them being a HYBE group. I mirror your thoughts on that - it can work well, but also not, as we've seen with other HYBE groups. Hopefully Le Sserafim use it sparingly/smartly in the future. Overall I really love this album. It has fantastic replay value, definitely one of my most played from this year. Very excited for their comeback!

it was their first university festival performance, but i guess their first concert experience would have been their debut. Their debut album showcase was held in an arena with a ton of people.

yeah the filter or whatever is def a hybe thing thats why i quit listening to bts years ago dont know if their b sides changed or not but i hate that effect on the voices and i hear it in every hybe artist official hybe artists anyway like enhy and txt and bts now sserafim too probably in newjeans but i dont know cuz i refuse to support that group with their innapropriate concept im mainly a fromis and sserafim seventeen fan from hybe artists i def prefer sm or yg artists sound personally

Such a nice surprise! I have to admit this album is still only like a 7/10 for me. What really got me head over heels for the group is the truly top tier chemistry they have in their reality stuff. 😅 I do enjoy Blue Flame and Sour Grapes a fair bit though, and Blue Flame's choreo is a fantastic mic of fun and sassy. Kind of like a slower, groovier Skip Skip, I'd say? I agree with you on TGM - it was the one that hooked me the most initially, but on repeat listens I also wish it just did something more. The whole album is oddly restrained, considering their concept, but I mind it less in the other songs.

Also, maybe the Windows Store version of Spotify is more presentable? I haven't used it in ages, but Store apps tend to be a bit more visually contained, if that's what you're looking for.

Glad you finally gave the album a listen! I still listen to it quite often~ I think it's really cool that Le Sserafim has a confident runway model concept going on. I just thought back to their runway teasers when I listened to the tracks and they fit so well. Their off-stage personalities are super different though, super adorable 🥰
