I love Gfriend, and Rough is literally my favorite kpop song of all time, not even close, so it meant a lot to see/hear Viviz perform it here. I also appreciate so much how the former Gfriend members are so open about how much Gfriend means to them and how much they want to be together.

I don't have any deep knowledge of any of the groups this time so I wasn' t sure if I was going to watch it. This was so much fun I'm definitely in for the rest. I have warm feelings toward Gfriend from their appearances with Mamamoo on various shows. I Especially remember Mamamoo trying to recreate Rough and Gfriend trying to recreate Your the Best. The strengths and vibes of the two groups were so different. I knew Hyolyn ran her own company but it hadn't really penetrated to me that that meant she was so involved not just in what she would do, but putting together the whole performance. Soyeon on steroids. Her quiet calm and confidence is so much what I was hoping for from the senior artist.

Regarding the leadership on Queendom 1 vs. Queendom 2... I do agree with you that the leaders seem to pop more in this season. But to be fair, I think the groups' outlook on the competition is different too. Mamamoo in Queendom 1 wasn't really thinking about competing too much, while some of the other groups like Lovelyz and AOA were just thinking about showing people what they could do. Oh My Girl wanted to win, but was also a little shy about it. And Queendom as a competition among established groups was a new thing. So everyone was a little unsure of how to approach the competition. I believe (G)I-DLE under Soyeon's leadership was the only one that was really, really fired up to win it. Interestingly enough, when they won the 1st round as the youngest group, the other groups all realized how fun and competitive Queendom could be... so everyone stepped up their games. Fast forward... Queendom 2, everyone's already seen Season 1 and Kingdom... they know what this show is about now.... they know the stakes. This season has its favorites, but I feel this one's a little more wide-open than Season 1. Season 1, you could kind of expect that Mamamoo was going to win based on their talent and popularity alone... and then you expected (G)I-DLE to really really shake things up as a talented 1 year old group. This season has a much much different outlook from the leaders... and of course, this is a third season, so MNet knows a little better how to tell the story.

I agree that Park Bom wasn't ready to be competing in a show like S1 Queendom at the time. Watching her, it was painful to see her struggling as a soloist, surrounded by a bunch of other thriving groups and missing 2NE1. It wasn't until the finale that she performed with confidence. But here in Season 2, I'm blown away by Hyolyn. Obviously, fan voting is gonna be an issue, but looking at it purely on performance... she's going to be a force throughout these rounds. THIS is what a soloist should bring to the table.

omg. I've only made it through VIVIZ performance so far, but it made me go back to watch some older GFRIEND. Now I have tears in my eyes. I didn't realize I miss them so much. MooMoo and Buddy forever. Now for the rest of the episode...

Yuju from Gfriend debuted as a soloist, and her album was really good. It is one of my favorites from this year. But the other former members of Gfriend are focusing on acting or other things besides music.
