Man, if you liked this part of round 2, the rest of Superband 2 is going to blow you away. Beks and I are going to have a very hard time choosing songs for rounds 3, 4, and the finals. The song quality and the performances are going to surpass what you saw today. That group with the glam makeup is Crackshot. They came into Superband together, experimented with splitting up, then added a keyboardist and finaled as CRAXILVER (Cracksliver). They were signed before Superband 2 was finished broadcasting, that's how hot they are. I don't think Beks is a huge fan, and I'm not either. We'll try to mix in one of their performances so you can get the vibe. I have to say something about "Snail." That song makes me cry every time I hear it. To me, it represents everything I like about Korean culture and the Korean spirit. It is very patient. It embraces tragedy. It honors the journey. It captures the hopeful and the sad. It is passionate. It speaks to you as an adult. Lee Juk (writer of Snail) performed it live on Begin Again season 3, and I play that song over and over again. It is a masterpiece. That band for "It's Raining" ends up forming the rhythm section of a final band, with other members you've heard and other's you have not. And for the rest, you'll see some of them again before it is over. You haven't seen their best performances yet.

LMAO sorry for the abrupt sad ending :'D you were on point with these, i laughed out loud a bunch of times. i am extremely glad that you enjoyed them - to be honest, this round right here is where sb2 picked up and imo started to outplay their predecessors. round 1 was a little messy, but i also remember watching these round 2 episodes and thinking, "what on earth is happening?!??!" and from here on, it just continues to be top quality. i am so glad that we were able to get that across to you with these performances. some notes: 1) davii is a solo artist indeed and more in the kpop sphere which is probably why you've heard of him 2) haeun (the classical guitarist in tree frog) is my top 3 contestants, so i'm glad you noticed her and her super pretty vocals :) 3) tree frog is on spotify; i'll update the playlist i made for you and put it on patreon. i'm so glad you love that song, i was completely aghast the first time i heard it and listened to it so much. they really did that and with an original song 4) hangyeom is 19 korean age - he was actually 17 at the time of filming the show, in his last year of high school. the drummer chopra kaya is his friend and classmate 5) time is running out: unfortunately the producers were not big fans. if i recall correctly, they criticized the choice of 2 dj-producers. i was as amazed as you were when i first watched the performance - but i expect that the personal value of the song to me may have clouded my vision. 6) it's raining - tbh, i'm bummed to not have been able to give you the context around this performance, but we are short on time haha. this team went against the "glam goth" team that you noticed a couple times - which were considered the strongest team on the show so far, and neigh unbeatable (their first round performance caught massive attention in kr). hwangleen (the guitarist/frontman) knew he was in a tough spot and worked his absolute ass off in order to deliver one of the hypest matchups of the whole show and actually pull off the win. it was a huge deal!

psst don't spoil too much of the final lineups (tho the ones you mentioned are more obvious ones)... i plan on subbing and including the final team reveals. :D also word on snail, such a good song. to me personally "when my loneliness calls" is even better but i just love jang pil soon so i had to include it.
