i actually really enjoyed every single one of the performances in this round and this time i really cant rank them, they all put up such golden performances, i just wanna applaud them for this one!

Out of these three I liked The Boyz the best. I'm trying to not think about the Game of Thrones theme, it's easier for me to enjoy the performances because then I'm not constantly looking for references. And I agree on Ikon's Inception, I also waited for the chorus we know and love and it was quite jarring to hear a different version. But I liked it nevertheless. And SF9 was of course amazing.

I think I'd gain a lot watching the performances again completely separated from the reactions backstage.

Zuho/Juho is the one you said is embodying straight mob boss energy. He does have a deep voice and sort of chill demeanor through the show that attributes to that. Honestly, he has a very sweet personality though. He is pretty emotional, clingy to his members, and a cat dad. He seems to be straight chilling through kingdom though. Lol Honestly I feel bad for Sangyeon for blaming himself for the fire and the arrow. It seemed like a thing that was down to pure luck and not any type of skill from him. You can tell these guys are so hard on themselves when they mess up. It would have been cool but they still created a great performance regardless. I do think iKon would have the vocals to do the original Inception, but it is cool that they made Inception really into an original iKon style production. June/Junhoe is the one who seems kind of unsure of himself in these clips. I am a bit conflicted about the song itself too, but I think that iKon did the theme the most. They definitely rebirthed the song. I think I liked their remake of the song least though just because I love Ateez's music so much that it was weird. I think after rewatching the performances I would rank it 1. SF9 and I'm unsure of which order I would rank The Boyz and iKon. I'm thinking 1. SF9, 2. The Boyz, and 3. iKon, but I'm not confident on that. The highlight was iKon and Ateez being so pure and becoming besties. (This is for global voting not spoilers for ep 5) I think SF9 came in second because people were so pissed off that they got 6th place that they voted for them (which fair enough). However, I've also seen people say that they think people are purposely avoiding voting for Ateez and The Boyz because they don't need the votes. This is where fan voting can become a problem, because people lack objectivity. Not mad about the SF9 one at the end of the day, because they didn't deserve 6th. But Ateez also didn't deserve 5th.

I REALLY loved sf9s performance. I am a sucker for a good noir concept and I think they did it justice. Even though I feel like they didn't change the arrangement of the song that much, I still enjoyed their overall performance the best. I give IKON 1st place in terms of following the theme of this round. They changed the song and made it into their own just like they were supposed to do. I LOVE this version. And now I have two different and dope versions of a song I already love so much. I enjoyed TBZ performance aswell but I kind of felt lost when it came to the storyline they had. So most of the time I was trying to understand the story instead of enjoying the song. So my personal rankings for this round 1. Sf9 2. IKON 3. TBZ

I'll tell you where I ranked these 3 after watching the rest of the performances from Round 2. For this round overall, personally, iKON is 1st, SF9 is 4th, and The Boyz is one of two that I put on the bottom. You know how you were talking about liking the original Inception too much and that might have affected your reaction to the performance? That's how I was with O Sole Mio because it's one of my favorites from SF9. It's so good. So The Boyz just didn't really make an impression on me all that much this time. I loved iKON's the most, especially the way they arranged the song. It just goes to show that everyone has different preferences though. Cause all the performances are always AMAZING and it's so hard to rank them at all since every group brings something different.

I'm unsure if something shady went on. I don't question things much. But I think allowing fans to vote is always messy and causes unnecessary drama.

i hadn't watched this whole episode yet, just the boyz performance by itself, so i'm shocked that a chunk of the beginning of their performance was completely edited out? i haven't checked but is this something that's happened to the other groups or not? regardless, the couple dance that was cut out was one of the main points and set the tone for the entire stage, it not being there makes the performance seem less full (idk how to properly explain it). i hope anyone that hasn't seen the full version checks it out because it really added so much to the whole performance! also i feel like the boyz kinda can't win whichever way they take their performances, especially in the eyes of the critics. you keep saying they just need to be themselves, but they are! they really set the standard for the type of performances expected on kingdom - they're doing what they're good at, but now so are all the other groups. the critics said their first round performance was disappointing because they didn't live up to their road to kingdom stages, so clearly they want them to keep going in the same direction, which if they do results in: 1. people getting injured, 2. everyone's performances blending into one (they kinda already are for me), and 3. being seen as trying too hard. if they were to strip it back and go with something more simple there would still be complaints. i just think the boyz are being held to a slightly different standard than everyone else, which isn't fair and is also putting more pressure on them, the edits they keep getting in the pre-performance clips make it seem like they're outliers in the competion or that they were lucky to win rtk or that they can't keep up now that they're with the 'popular' groups...

I guess it's inevitable, but I thought that also it's unfair to "compare" their RTK performances here. I feel like each stage should be judged independently.

I'm watching Kingdom on Viki as well and I had no idea there was a whole duet dance in the beginning until watching a reactors video?? Usually Viki has issues with copyright so maybe that's why it was cut out? But even then usually they at least layer another song that is copyright free over the footage (ex: them taking "I Will Always Love You" out of Strong Woman Do Bong Soon and replacing it with some random instrumental in one scene). I kind of really hate that Viki just cut the whole beginning of the performance out because while I already really liked The Boyz performance I definitely loved it even better with the intro..

Tbh I didn't like the way iKON changed Inception, the arrangement was a bit meh and the overall performance was okay but nothing that stood out to me personally. The way I ranked them at the end of ep 4 was: 1. SF9 - their performance was just so amazing! I know you're not personally a fan of huge productions but I do love a good dramatic, movie-like, performance so it was something that struck a chord with me personally! 2. The Boyz - They are doing what they're good at without going overboard, I actually really liked this performance from them. 3. iKON - I already talked about it earlier in the comment, I agree that I really wanted to like it but I didn't really.
