Zach has been my favourite interviewer on YouTube even before I got into kpop, so it was really awesome to see LOONA on his show. Obviously they couldn't dive deep into any topics in 10 minutes, but I still really enjoyed the interview. Especially Yves' answers, I absolutely adore the way she speaks. It's not even because of her confidence, I just think that she has a really beautiful way with words. "You can be touched in multiple ways" is the perfect way to describe kpop. I really hope he gets a chance to do a longer interview with them in the future, it would be great. I think that the language barrier wouldn't even be a big issue. Zach did a 50-minute long interview with Mamamoo when they came to LA, and he had a fantastic interview with them even though they could only communicate through a translator. Hopefully we can get something closer to that length for the next comeback! And I had the same reaction to Go Won's dark hair by the way, she looks amazing 😍

I think it's more that LOONA isn't quite ready for Western interviews imo. They're stuck too close to their Korean PR responses. You can see discussions about this on the LOONA subreddit post of this interview. They don't exactly go into much depth, which Americans look for. Authentic, thoughtful answers. You can only say "we love Orbits'" and "we do it for Orbits'" so much before you want something more genuine. Hopefully this didn't sound mean haha. Yves is definitely the best at this already. She isn't just parroting what she's been trained.

To be honest that was definitely something that I was thinking as I've watched some of their other US radio interviews, but I also didn't want to say it and sound mean haha. LOONA are still such a young group, so it totally makes sense that they would be cautious in interviews like this, but hopefully it will improve as they grow and become more comfortable throughout their careers. I can see that they've already gotten more authentic over time in their Korean content, so I'm sure that's something that will continue to progress. I agree that Yves really came across as genuine in this interview though, that's definitely why I was drawn to her answers the most. It's really nice to see her acting that way already. I think that if Zach did do a longer interview with LOONA now, it would still turn out well if Yves took the lead in answering his questions, but it would be great to get one when all of the girls are more comfortable. I'll have to check out that LOONA reddit thread now, thanks for the tip 👍 (Sorry if you got more than one notification for this by the way, Patreon keeps deleting my comment for some reason 🙃)

I like Loona, but man I haven't been able to watch most of the other interviews. It is so awkward, and half of the hosts don't seem to even remotely give a crap. A lot of reactors on youtube are like that as well, not specifically with Loona, just you can see they will react to something they aren't interested in purely for the views.

Also Kim Lip has blonde hair again? I thought I saw a few weeks ago she dyed it to brown, and now its blonde again. I wonder if she is going to do some type of color like red or purple. I figured it was going to stay brown for this next comeback since she seems to alternate between blonde and brown for comebacks.

2021-11-03 19:24:47 I recommend Form of Therapy's interview with LOONA. That's as good as you're going to get for a REAL, serious interview with them. Even now though PD has mentioned that Blockberry turned down a lot of his questions whereas now they're a lot more lenient. The hello82 In&Out interview is also amazing.

Yeah i've seen PD's interview with them, it was really good. In one of PDs podcast episodes they went into more detail about meeting the girls. They mentioned that the girls were shocked b/c they didn't realize PD was korean. Given how tan and tall PD is.
