im pretty sure you're right, they were signed to a company like a western band, on their kprofiles page it says they just studied music at college and arts high schools so they are for sure a genuine rock band. I really hope they can get big enough to tour, the live streamed concerts they do are already so lit.

I really like Rolling Quartz. However, this live stage is an example of what annoys me about how live bands fit into an industry dominated by Kpop. I've been a live sound engineer for 25 years. The only live aspect of this performance is the vocal. The instruments are not plugged in, and there are no microphones on the drums. There are dozens of videos of Rolling Quartz killing actual live performances, if you want to see them perform. This video is frustrating, because the Korean pop shows are not prepared to get a live band onstage, run a sound check, and do a real performance. Unless it is Sketchbook or Immortal Songs, you are going to get something that looks like 1980s American Bandstand. Rolling Quartz has to slog through that crap, and I respect them for it; but I wish Korea had a better system for live bands. If you want to see Rolling Quartz for real, you can see videos of them in their rehearsal space that are ten times better than this. Their live stages are a hundred times better. Looking forward to hearing more from them in the future.

Yeah, we do that in the West every now and then too for big events haha. Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Super Bowl performance comes to mind. I had a feeling it might be that way yet couldn’t tell for sure. At least we had some semblance of live vocals!

Ugh... Super Bowl performances. That's the time every year that all live sound engineers text each other about how horrible the performances are. The only two exceptions are U2 in 2002 and Prince in 2007. If you want to see Rolling Quartz live, try this: https://youtu.be/r21Z7t_g54A

Yeong Eun, the drummer, is so adorable I can't even. I wanted to watch this on M Countdown's live stream but it turns out they weren't on it - this video was released separately during the show. I dunno if they did that because this isn't K-pop, but I feel like if you're gonna list them in the lineup they should treat them like any other group. I really hope they blow up, they look like they're having so much fun kicking ass.

My soft bias for Iree (the smiley guitarist) is getting stronger, she's so awesome. All of these girls are though, I'm so impressed by them so far! I definitely agree that they're going to have a tough time breaking through, but I'm really rooting for them. They're something that I've been dying to see in kpop

Iree is easly my BIAS, like... her smile...just kill and revive me!! Anyway they're all so awesome but this industry is not really into Rock so that will be hard for them even more than man group like Day6 or Onewe. I Already bought the debut album, i can't wait to receive it !!! Let's support them !!!
