I'm still watching so I'll keep adding answers, but the reason the subtitles say the situation is because that's literally what's on the screen, These videos are translated by fans not SM, and Korean tv shows often but literally blurbs of information on the screen so the people subtitling the videos right those in brackets to distinguish from dialogue. And when Ten's teacher was speaking they didn't subtitle it because she was speaking Thai and the man next to her translated it into korean lol (EDIT) Yes Hansol did not debut, he left SM before he could debut with NCT. He debuted later in a group called NewKidd though. Donghyuk is Haechan. Donghyuk is his real name, Haechan is his stage name that he got AFTER debuting so they called him his real name here. And Taeyong's nickname IS Ty Track because he featured on Red Velvet's song "Be Natural" predebut. That was him not somebody else. I believe they might have tagged Taeyongs feature as SR15 TY or something like that which means SM Rookie 2015 Taeyong. They tagged a lot of their predebut artists like that. (EDIT) That baby is our baby Jisung! He's our forever maknae lol has been the youngest since the beginning and still in. He was about 13 here. He was 14 when he debuted in Chewing Gum with NCT Dream and he just turned 20 this past year! (EDIT) The support that came for these guys and most idols pre-debut really is just that a lot of these fans are fans of pre-existing groups (in this case EXO, Super Junior, Shinee, etc.) who hear that SM has a new boy group and decide that they're gonna stan from the beginning pretty much. Then SM doesn't upload videos and pictures of the rookies so fans can see them. Then they do multiple other small shows like this, attending other SM events and such. For example, aespa members already had fans because we've seen their faces before and people found their content before the group was even announced. (EDIT) They did mainly covers (ie. they did EXOs "Growl"), but there were some original songs they did that just had yet to be completely edited and released officially. For example, here you could hear them sing "Timeless" which wasn't released until 2017 by NCT U and at other SM Rookies events Taeyong and Doyoung performed a song Taeyong wrote called "Switch Off" that didn't get released until 2020 on the Resonance album. Only it was lyrically edited and the title became "Lightbulb".

In Asian countries a lot of the time teachers take on a more involved role in the kids lives. Even if students get in trouble outside of school a lot of the time their teachers will be called to pick them up and clear things up. Teachers really connect with students and push them to achieve their dreams (ofc there are still bad teachers who don't care as much just like everywhere but ya know) so they were sincere in what they said. They watched him grow and watched his dreams develop so he really felt the nice and encouraging words they were saying to him. Also, that song that sounded familiar is from the Nickelodean show "Victorious" xD

Before they debuted they entered SM rookies. At that time, SM rookies had their own website and uploaded photos of SM rookies members. same as red velvet. on the web it shows them dancing, singing and so on.
