Totally Legit Recap: Rainbow Rocks (Part 3) (Patreon)

It's finally done. I had no idea what to do for the climactic battle scene in this one. I went through 10+ versions of the script; everything from rap battles to long-ass speeches. The problem is I take this movie pretty seriously and the lesson means a lot to me, so I didn't want to do my typical raunchy bullshit, but when I tried doing it sincerely, it just ended up being a shittier version of the real thing.
Fortunately, I'd been creating the solution the entire time without even realizing it. Sonata's mounting ambivalence didn't really go anywhere in the original versions, so I just carried it to its logical conclusion. Boom. Problem solved.
Other than learning instruments, this might be the hardest I've ever worked on anything in my life. I went all the way with the lip-syncing just to see if I could, and it ended up turning what normally would've been two normal 9-5 work weeks of video editing into a 15-day marathon of staring at vegas morning-till-night. Between that and two weeks of writing and audio, there's somewhere around 300 hours of work in this video. Normal episodes are going to feel fucking easy after this.
As always, thank you guys for giving me money so I can try stuff like this instead of getting a real fucking job. Rock on, Sunnybuns.
