Hi everyone,

Guess it’s time to tell you what’s going on with us atm.

Around two years ago my mother in law had been diagnosed with cancer. You may remember the incident, but in case you don’t, by the time she was diagnosed the cancer was already in a very developed state and since she was reluctant to go under treatment it was pretty much a death sentence. However, she did change her mind and went under some treatment that supposedly would extent her life for about 18 month. Awesomely enough she actually got about 24-25 months out of it. But…some illnesses you just can’t outrun.

Currently my mother in law is bedridden, still alert but very weak and under hospice care. I spare you the details but I think you get the pictures…

We just packed up and travel from ND to DE to help out a bit (because otherwise, besides of the hospice care, my brother in law would be all alone taking care about her) and, off course to see her once more.

We will remain in DE until, well, who knows.

My mother in law is doing alright for the circumstances, but she has good days and very bad days. At this state we can’t tell if she will stay with us for days, weeks or perhaps months.

I’m writing this because our comic work will be impacted since I can’t request my husband to invest the same amount of energy while caring for his mother. However, I feel like you, as our supporters, should be informed about our current situation.

‘In SECURITY’ will go on a week long hiatus next week (re-runs on Gocomics, I think) and ‘Kitten’ will skip its reward-ad episode and (maybe) switch to a bi-weekly schedule. We try to keep ‘in SECURITY’ on its daily schedule after the hiatus but might end up with a rather loose schedule.

Patreon is usually my responsibilities but I’m not too comfortable atm and have to see how that will affect my work here. I have a little bit of a backlog of sketches and WIPs, tho. So to some degree I have you covered.

Not sure what else to say. Thank you for your support, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and we hope we can resume our creative work to its full potential eventually again.
