Happy last Sunday if the decade....or would the decade end next year? Either way, happy Sunday :D

I promised you a second Sunday since I couldn’t deliver it last month. Unfortunately I was unable to finish this one in time ._.

Inking was just done two days ago and I just managed to get my base colors down. I maybe could’ve pushed it today and got everything rendered by tonight. But I’m not too happy with the colors yet and like to sit and think about them for a couple days before I tweak and correct them.

However, I did not want to come empty handed so I wanted to show you at least the WIP of it :)

This was  an older joke. We had in many strips Sedine constantly calling ‘Hey Sam’, especially in the beginning of the comic’s run. So we felt like poking fun of that antik of her.

However, I always avoided doing this joke because it’s so background heavy >.<

Now, with our next book coming (that will have the title ‘Hey, Sam!’) We really had to do this joke....and dummy me put it in a time slot where I’m pinched like crazy XD.

But....yeah, there you go :)

I will render the rest of this by next week and in January we should be back to normal Sunday schedules....at least I plan on doing so....

Just to let you know what’s going on with us and why I’m so quiet/slow in replying to comments. We are on the end stage of the book. Foreword is written, hubby formatted everything, added all the sketches and strips. Right now he’s busy with the logo design and correcting spelling mistakes within strips.

I still have to finish this Sunday, apparently, two chibis and the cover. On top of our usual obligations to Patreon and the comic strip itself. It may not sound much, but we have still both hands full with work @A@

I hope by the time the book is done and at the printers, we will return back to normal. ^^ I just really wanted to let you know so you don’t get the impression I’m ignoring you, burning out or losing interest on this project.
I speak mostly for myself but dearly hope hubby feels the same, I love this comic and I’m extremely grateful for having such a loyal, expressive and friendly audience. You guys are a true blessing for us and I wish I could deliver a lot more than what I’m able to ;^;

I promise, as soon as I have a bit more time on my hand I will return to replying and socializing more actively. Meanwhile, stay warm and happy New Year’s (in case we won’t read each other again in 2019 :))

I like how the pattern of her skirt stays constant regardless of folds or perspective. It reminds me of the Ernie Bushmiller "Nancy" comics.

That little backward jump of her's is so cute!

The secret incidence is....laziness ;) It will look a bit more dynamic once shadows are applied. But so far, tweaking every are where the pattern is applied is just too much hassle and not worth the time. I find it quite charming tho ;)
