Design sheets! Because it's fun drawing different outfits and to talk about it from time to time (I should do that more often XD)

This time, Hubbs and 'Al''s winter outfit.

Hubbs was meant to wear his denim jacket with a hoody underneath. But afterwards I decided to change it a bit and add a fluffy fur collar to it. Don't ask me why, but it looks so great on men's jackets :) On top of that he wear's head and scarf with the 'Diners'-logo, a logo we were showing quite often in the strip. I originally also wanted to add it to the back of his gloves but ended up not to because it would've been too busy :(

Believe it or not, but his pants and shoes are his normal clothes. But instead of hiding the boots under his pants, he shoved his pants inside his boots to prevent show getting on his legs....sounds logical to me XD. The awesome thing about this design...we didn't need to tone his hair since it's hidden inside his hat and only the dark ends are peeking out...although I miss his hair already XD

Ellie...her outfit is a Sailor Moon reference. Nobody spotted it yet, but that might be because the comic is B/W. In color that blue jacket with the pink fishbone and the huge orange pearl holding her scarf would've probably hinted to some readers who we are referring to. Well, exclusively on Patreon I'll spill the beans and tell you why I choose the outfit.

The outfit El is wearing is a reference to Fisheye, member of the 'Amazon Trio' in the fourth season of Sailor Moon. In the English dub by DIC (just like in the German dub) Fisheye was a woman. However, in the original dub Fisheye was actually a guy who disguised himself as a woman to lower in men to steal their dream mirrors. I guess you get now why I choose his outfit for Ellie's jacket since both of them are masters in crossdressing....although one is unvlulanterly XD   

That reference was no intentionally planned. I wanted to give Ellie a thick jacket with a hood to hide her female attributes. After all, she is not in the 'Al' outfit but in her normal clothes. While drawing her jacket I eventually ended up with a Michelline man kind of a design...which automatically reminded me of Fisheye. So I added the fish and the scarf as reference to a ponytail and done XD
