I've got another Dark Souls 2 video in the works, this one is all about the time limits in multiplayer. In Dark Souls 2, phantoms get kicked out of a host's world after a certain amount of time and it's a surprisingly interesting mechanic.
In researching for the video I've learned something new about the Name-Engraved Ring that wasn't previously known by the general playerbase (it wasn't talked about on any of the wikis), and I've also done the deep dive into how much time every defeated enemy subtracts from co-op. Something the community has had a fuzzy understanding of, but I don't think anyone's tried to review all the exact numbers involved previously, nor make that information available.
This is one of those topics that I always wanted to know more about back when the game was new, but after all the Soul Memory and Gravestone testing I did, I lost the will to try and test how this all worked manually. I'm glad I put it off, being able to datamine the relevant info is a huge help and makes this all a lot easier.
I'm editing the Fextralife wiki with most of my findings; Wikidot is currently out for the count due to the subscription running out (yet again). So who knows if/when that'll be an option again.
The video is almost halfway done, but I have a busy weekend coming up so I'm aiming for next weekend as a rough ballpark for release.
