My first Blender-picture (Patreon)

For a brief moment, Yen tried to remember how it could have come to this. But she didn't care anymore...

I put my feet in the water a bit more and tried my hand at making a picture in the software Blender. The image still has a lot of flaws, but after 15 hours of work on just one wallpaper, I had to finish. 😅

Blender is really completely different from Source Filmmaker. Both in terms of its complexity and its possibilities. It will be a hard road, but hopefully it will be worth it in the end.

But now quickly back to the Corruption spinoff. 😋

It looks great! And yeah, Blender is lovely and very complex. I've myself started learning it about 6 weeks ago. I'm proud of what I've learned and what I've made so far, even though I've only scratched the surface and it feels like the possibilities are almost endless.

This is definitely a part that is really motivating when learning the software. Knowing that once you've got it down, you're using software that's more or less up to the current industry standard of video games, when it comes to graphics and animation.

It's great that you are building your skillset! Hopefully this will allow you to do even more stuff in the future. One thing. Triss' proportions (as well as the other ladies) have increased a lot over the years in your work. Triss' proportions in the WIPs for the Corruption spin-off are pretty much as far as I personally like. So, for me, the proportions here are too much. I still love your work and am very excited for the Corruption spin-off. I just thought that I should mention. <3

It feels like blender was made by aliens. Every time I use it, I have to google how to do even the most basic things because it's so unintuitive. The render looks great, but I suggest sticking with whichever program you can be the most productive in.

It's good that you're learning new things. You are very competent at Source Filmmaker so you can still use it as you bridge to blender to for the more Advanced Techniques not found in SFM. Happy for your progress
