And here's the second part of the update.  Chapter 43!

It's yet to be proofread, but I didn't want to keep it from you guys more than I already did. I will replace it with the proofread version as soon as it's done.

Have fun!

Huh, 99 cooking. Are we in foodgasm territory yet?

2Lazy2Name

Okay, that actually raises a serious question: How would Shuten Douji find the taste of Shirou's flesh... after Shirou cooked it for her?

2Lazy2Name

Since Shuten Doji has already been weakened due to possessing a human body rather than her own, and Rangiku has now apparently absorbed the majority of Ibaraki's power, leaving said Oni weakened to the point where it seems that Waver (who somehow escaped his predicament and was able to make his way back to the cave serving as their hideout – curious as to how that happened) can force her to become his familiar... does this mean Shirou and his companions can actually defeat her? Or are they just going to go ahead with the sake cup ritual? Then again, Shirou does have to "take care" of Lilith's Blessing while Waver deals with the sake cup. ...God I hope we eventually get an artwork piece of his and Rangiku's copulation while she's in her new Oni body. Speaking of which, how long will that form last?

...On the one hand, banana bulli jokes are old hat and played out. On the other hand, you served up a slow ball right down the middle of the plate... must resist...

Not bad, things seam to be working out for our friend here.

*Reads through the chapter* Truly, the bannana bulli is eternal. :)

Well. Hopefully people have a better understanding that Shuten and Ibaraki are evil, and not really something you WANT to fuck/contract with if at all possible. Although admittedly, Shirou's insane sexual prowess might be capable of ensuring their (effective) loyalty to him, there's no way he'd be able to stop them from occasionally nomming some people. And unlike FGO, there isn't a (relatively steady) slew of people who really deserve to die and who can be sacrificed to the onis's hunger. How is Rangiku even alive after absorbing such an amount of power from an Oni with the same power level as a Heroic Spirit? That's far beyond what a human can contain and survive, especially with how distant an Oni's power is from the nature of humanity. Unless that's what she meant by "as long as this condition lasts"? Waver is... actually a bit frightening. How did he recover from being so broken down and near-death that he couldn't even manipulate his Mystic Code, to being able to forcibly bind even a weakened Ibaraki-douji (who would still be able to kill most things living on the island)? Of course, being a version of the actual thing rather than just a partial copy of a Heroic Spirit shoved into a Servant body, she won't require the same mana upkeep a Servant would, but... To say nothing of the fact that he doesn't sound entirely sane anymore. On the plus side, the fact that the last chapter implies that he's blaming the Archibalds for this means that he is much less likely to try to kill Shirou given the opportunity. Unless Shirou sees him torturing Ibaraki and tries to stop it (which would probably consist of killing her, come to think of it, since freeing her would be as dangerous to everyone else...)

Waver might do the ritual, but Shirou will never leave without Mikado. Still want to know who the cup is for, since Shuten (the only one I really suspected) doesn't seem to care about it. Her body probably won't last long. Not only has she absorbed the majority of power from someone on the level of a Heroic Spirit, an Oni's nature is far removed from that of a human--and we've already seen what the much more similar power of a Heroic Spirit/Counter Guardian can do to a person.
