PETE: Hello Pledgehammers!

It's about that time to get your votes in for what show you want to see Oli and Luke review for this month's WrestleTalk Extra (yes it will still be Luke hopefully, which means the episode will be up towards the end of the month rather than in the middle so he has time to return from his paternity leave).

Remember - every suggestion is valid, and we have a lovely bunch of people here on Patreon. Be those lovely people. Happy voting!

Previous October episodes have been: WCW Halloween Havoc 1995, TNA Bound For Glory 2010, WWF Badd Blood: In Your House, and WCW Halloween Havoc 1998!

WCW Halloween Havoc 1997 (suggested by Chris Petrou)
The main event of this show saw Roddy Piper face Hollywood Hogan in a Steel Cage. Elsewhere on the card, Randy Savage faced DDP in a Las Vegas Sudden Death match, Lex Luger faced Scott Hall with Larry Zbyszko as a special guest referee, Curt Hennig faced Ric Flair for the United States Title, Rey Misterio Jr. faced Eddy Guerrero for the Cruiserweight Championship in a Mask vs Title match, and more.

WCW Halloween Havoc 2000 (suggested by Austin Shrock)
The main event of this show was Goldberg vs KroniK in a handicap match. Woof. Elsewhere on the show, Booker T defended the World Title against Scott Steiner, Jeff Jarrett faced Sting, Buff Bagwell faced David Flair in a First Blood DNA Match, yep, Mike Sanders faced Ernest Miller in a Kickboxing Match, yep, and Gen. Rection faced Lance Storm and Jim Duggan in a handicap match for the United States Title.

FWA British Uprising [2002] (suggested by Rob James)
A UK indie show here, as Jonny Storm took on AJ Styles (in 2002!), Ulf Herman faced Balls Mahoney, Doug Williams faced Jerry Lynn, Drew McDonald vs Robbie Brookside, and more.

TNA Bound For Glory 2007 (suggested by Nate S)
The main event of this show saw Kurt Angle defend his TNA World Title against Sting, while there was Abyss vs Raven, Rhino and Black Reign in a Monster's Ball match, Samoa Joe vs Christian Cage, The Steiner Brothers vs Team 3D, Jay Lethal vs Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles & Tomko vs Team Pacman and more.

WWE Battleground 2013 (suggested by Dan)
Dan's favourite. The Rhodes Brothers vs The Shield is the reason most people remember this show, but it's also infamous for its ending of Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton in the main event ending in a no contest, thanks to Big Show. CM Punk faced Ryback on the show too, with Bray Wyatt vs Kofi Kingston, Alberto Del Rio vs RVD for the World Heavyweight Title in a Hardcore match, and more.

WWE Hell In A Cell 2013 (suggested by Robert Spence)
Later that some month, WWE then hosted Hell in a Cell, which saw Randy Orton vs Daniel Bryan again, but inside Hell in a Cell with Shawn Michaels as a Special Guest Referee, John Cena vs Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship, CM Punk vs Ryback & Paul Heyman in a Handicap Hell in a Cell match, Big E Langston vs Dean Ambrose for the United States Title, The Rhodes Brothers vs The Usos vs The Shield for the Tag Titles and more.

TNA Bound For Glory 2016 (suggested by Marcus Campbell)
The main event of this show was Lashley vs EC3 for the World Title, with The Broken Hardys vs Decay, Aron Rex vs Eddie Edwards for the inaugural Impact Grand Championship, Moose vs Mike Bennett, DJZ [Joaquin Wilde] vs Trevor Lee [Cameron Grimes] and more.

NJPW King Of Pro Wrestling 2018 (suggested by Jonathan Hedman)
The main event of this show saw IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega defend the belt against Cody Rhodes & Kota Ibushi in a 3-way match, Hiroshi Tanahashi faced Jay White with the Tokyo Dome IWGP Heavyweight Championship Challenge Rights Certificate (yes that is its actual name) on the line, Kushida vs Marty Scurll, Evil vs Zack Sabre Jr., LIJ vs Chaos, Chaos vs Suzuki-Gun, Bullet Club OG vs Bullet Club Elite, and more.

Goldberg v Kronik, take my money 2000 WCW!

Andrew Baylis

From that list, give me that 2000 WCW goodness.

JJ Gyllenhaal

Yeah more TNA, Bound for Glory 07 would be a fun one

Callum Lucas

Great suggestions this month. Really hope it’s TNA BFG 2007, absolutely loved the mid to late 2000’s of TNA. FWA would also be a nice change of pace!

Chris Duncan

Voted for Bound For Glory 07. The only TNA PPV I have on DVD

Chris Smith

Has to be BFG 07. I’d also recommend listening to Bryan & Vinny’s reviews of the Reverse Battle Royal.

Iain McOmish

Like Chris Duncan, I also own BFG 2007 on DVD, but I have no memory of why I bought it. Good excuse to watch it for the first time in at least a decade though.

George Worrall

BFG ‘07. Best PPV TNA had done at that point. Mixture of great matches, star power and some ridiculous booking. I remember Angle doing a very dangerous, dodgy looking 360 on Sting in the main event.
