Have you ever been put off watching a film or tv show or playing a game because of it's overwhelming popularity and praise? I remember when working as a cinema manager that everyone was telling me Frozen was the greatest Disney film ever made and got put off by it being constantly everywhere. As much as I appreciate the songs, I have still to this day not watched Frozen.

New patron here, is the slasher movie truly dead? It just doesn't seem like we've really got any compelling characters to build a franchise around anymore, or if they do they just don't have the punch of Freddy, Jason, or even Chucky. I long for long term presences, even if the series devolves into silly bollocks nonsense like Freddy's Dead, because even a bad movie is better than a boring one.
