PETE: Hello Pledgehammers, it's time to get voting for what show you want to hear Oli and Luke review for March 2021! Remember - every suggestion is valid, and we have a lovely bunch of people here on Patreon. Be those lovely people. Previous March episodes of WrestleTalk Extra include WWE WrestleMania 26, WWE WrestleMania 20 and WWE WrestleMania 25

Your options for this month are...

WWF WrestleMania I [1985] (suggested by Andrew Mercogliano)
The one that started it all. Featuring a main event of Hulk Hogan & Mr. T vs Paul Orndorff & Roddy Piper, Andre the Giant vs Big John Studd, Junkyard Dog vs Greg Valentine, The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff vs The US Express, and more.

WWF WrestleMania X [1994] (suggested by Marcus Campbell)
Featuring what some consider to be the best WrestleMania opening match of all time with Bret Hart vs Owen Hart, as well as the classic Razor Ramon vs Shawn Michaels ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship, and two matches for the WWF Championship: Yokozuna vs Lex Luger in the middle of the show and Bret Hart vs Yokozuna in the main event, there's a lot going on at WrestleMania X.

WCW Uncensored 1997 (suggested by Jonathan Hedman)
Dean Malenko vs Eddie Guerrero opened this show for the United States Championship, with Prince Iaukea vs Rey Mysterio Jr. for the Television Championship, Harlem Heat vs The Public Enemy in a Texas Tornado Match, and a main event of Team nWo (Hogan, Savage, Nash & Hall) vs Team Piper (Piper, Benoit, McMichael & Jarrett) vs Team WCW (Luger, The Giant, Steiner) in a Triangle Elimination Match.

WWF WrestleMania XIV [1998] (suggested by Robert Spence)
On the undercard, Triple H faced Owen Hart for the European Championship, The Rock faced Ken Shamrock for the Intercontinental Championship, The Undertaker faced Kane and in the main event, Stone Cold faced Shawn Michaels for the WWF Championship with Mike Tyson as the special outside enforcer, a classic match.

WWE WrestleMania XIX [2003] (suggested by Lendell Brenson)
Possibly most well remembered for Brock Lesnar botching a Shooting Star Press in his WWE Championship match against Kurt Angle in the main event, The Rock also faced Stone Cold in the semi-main event, Shawn Michaels faced Chris Jericho, Triple H faced Booker T for the World Heavyweight Championship, Hulk Hogan faced Mr. McMahon, and The Undertaker faced Big Show & A-Train in a 2-on-1 handicap match.

WWE WrestleMania XXIV [2008] (suggested by Duncan)
The undercard for this show featured a Money In The Bank ladder match with CM Punk, Carlito, Chris Jericho, John Morrison, Mr. Kennedy, MVP and Shelton Benjamin, Shawn Michaels faced Ric Flair in his "retirement" match, Randy Orton vs John Cena vs Triple H was for the WWE Championship, Floyd Mayweather faced Big Show and the show was main evented by Undertaker vs Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship.

TNA Victory Road 2011 (suggested by Ryan Stewart)
Yikes. In what at the time was called one of the worst shows of the year, this show had a couple of highlights including AJ Styles vs Matt Hardy, Kazarian vs Jeremy Buck vs Max Buck (The Young Bucks) vs Robbie E in an Ultimate X match for the X Division Championship, but this show is of course most well known for the main event of Jeff Hardy vs Sting, which ended after a minute due to Hardy being intoxicated.

WWE WrestleMania 31 [2015] (suggested by Bryant Heath)
Conversely, this show is regarded as one of the better modern WrestleManias, with an Intercontinental Championship ladder match to open the show with Daniel Bryan, Bad News Barrett, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Luke Harper, R-Truth & Stardust, Randy Orton vs Seth Rollins, Triple H vs Sting, John Cena vs Rusev IN A TANK, Undertaker vs Bray Wyatt, and the main event of Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar that ended with the 'heist of the century'.

NJPW Strong Style Evolved 2018 (suggested by Austin Shrock)
In a striking preview of AEW, a huge number of wrestlers on this show would end up in the promotion, with Bullet Club (Cody & Marty Scurll) vs Guerrillas of Destiny, Jay White vs Hangman Page, The Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi) vs The Young Bucks, as well as Will Ospreay vs Jyushin Thunder Liger, Suzuki-gun (Suzuki & Zack Sabre Jr.) vs Chaos (Kazuchika Okaad & Tomohiro Ishii), and much more.

Wrestlemania 31 should be winning this , 19 is overrated two match card

WrestleMania 31 was my first Mania as a fan. Would absolutely love to know the guys’ thoughts on Sting vs Triple H, which I inexplicably gave 10/10

19 is the best top to bottom Mania besides X-7. 31 is fine but Austin vs Rock 3, Mcmahon vs Hogan, HBK vs Y2J, Brock vs Angle, and they even get to talk about the abomination that was Triple H burying Booker!

Bryan 'The Monster Among Patreons' Stroman

Sadly the old fart that has been watching wrestling since before there was a WrestleMania will be overruled again. Which is fine as things change as time goes on.... Everyone has different tastes and honestly the world that this old Marine Vet loves would be kinda boring if everyone liked the exact same thing.

Bryant Heath

I was so close. Thanks for voting WM 31 guys. Maybe next year.

The Zack Delusion

Missed the vote, glad WM 19 won anyway 😁
