WrestleTalk Patreon tier changes (Patreon)
Content
The Wrestling Histories podcast with Fin Martin recently came to an end, leaving our $5 donators without much bang for their buck, so I thought I'd overhaul the way WrestleTalk's Patreon tiers worked. I set this up over six months ago now, where WrestleTalk had under 200,000 subscribers and we were still struggling to make Smackdown reviews happen.
Now we've cruised past 300,000 subscribers, and Smackdown reviews are every week - all thanks to you brilliant Patreon people.
In exchange for losing Wrestling Histories, the $5+ donators will get their names in the WrestleTalk video description credits, and early access to the weekend episodes of WrestleRamble.
I've also removed the induction speech part for the $25 people in the Hall of Fame videos, as they're getting exponentially more difficult to do. But remember - you'll still get your Twitter handle included on the WrestleTalk News shout-out! (Message me yours if you still haven't sent it over)
There are two new tiers beyond those now: The Main Eventer - which lets donators submit one question a month that will definitely be answered on WrestleRamble (my inbox storage has literally exceeded capacity twice since we started taking emails, so this is a way to ensure your question gets answered); and the Legend's Deal - where I'll make a personalised 'thank you' video for you. Aww.
Hopefully everyone's happy with these improvements. It's the best way I could see it working going forward. If you're really against the changes, though, let me know by commenting on this post. And, likewise, comment on this post if you think EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!
(I rewatched The LEGO Movie earlier...)
Thank you all once again. You've made Smackdown reviews possible, and helped WrestleTalk grow so much.
Peace out,
Oli
