I'm not sure how Mel can tell the phones are quantum at a glance. Maybe because they're single units and most phone/mobile tech in RttS is modular... quantum phone manufacturers bringing back the iphone minimalism aesthetic? (They mostly look like that because I have to draw piles of them and I don't wanna die)

presumably having a processor taking advantage of quantum entanglement and superpositions and like testing multiple options for stuff simultaneously using those properties/phenomena, rather than just regular old semiconductor switches? but I'm not the author *or* an expert in computers/physics/engineering so I don't *know*. (iirc irl it's thought quantum computing would have some advantages over the alternative (binary computing? newtonian computing? conventional computing? idk what you'd call irl modern computers when contrasting with quantum computers) but the big thing people think it would be good for is stuff like decryption because it would hypothetically let you try way more options simultaneously)

As far as i know, there are two theorized possible uses for quantum-entangled particles in electronics you could build a processor with multiply entangled particles and run massively parallel operations on them or, you can have a pair of processors that each have one of an entangled particle pair, and use their state as a completely spy-proof one-time pad for encrypted communications.

looking back at those pages, and spotted (what i think is) an accident! on the wide panel with talita pulling the cart of phones closer, her midleg resting against her abdomen is colored as if its a bare foot, but the first panel indicates shes meant to be wearing a sock. letting you know in case you want to fix before print!

Since the Runaway was a centaur spacecraft - does that mean there might be centaur envirosuits NOT made by Talita out there?

There isn't any form of safety standard when it comes to Centaur enviro suits since they are a recently contacted extreme minority, Talita had to craft her own enviro suit while being its sole tester which according to her nerve-wracking ordeal. I would assume any other Centaur would have to do the same though unlike Talita, they likely won't have an education as sophisticated or specific as hers on the matter, they would be lucky to have it crafted to their measurements by some other source at an obscene cost.
