This one took a while because my brain has been full of bees, and also I had to finish fiddling with the 3D model of the modular frontloader. The initial 3D sketch was made by MechMonster during an unrelated art trade Secret Santa, I just mashed it around to make it more similar to the vehicle design in the rough pages (so I didn't have to do pose changes... lol).

I have been slowly learning Blender though, mostly in order to make room models for later scenes. It's going.

Learning Blender sounds like a nightmare to me, but whatever you're doing is working, the page looks great!

omfg, I used to be a crane operator and this is exactly how people on the work site react when I tell them to not walk under three ton pallet of gypsum boards I’m trying to unload “I GOT A HELMET” f*ck off you will become one with the gravel if a sling snaps

I've never noticed before- does Talita have to curl her trunk to fit in the helmet?

Yep, it's tucked downwards here. The mic and some volume controls are inside the helmet body under her lower lip.

Writing this book has exposed me to so many OSHA volition horror stories from people who work around heavy machinery and aircraft. It's amazing what people will do, thinking low probability of consequences makes them exempt from consequences.

we spent MONTHS drilling safety glasses requirements into people... and then we ran out of safety glasses and the supply chain got fucked up, and the habit got broken and it is A SLOG. I feel for Talita.
