Shyam's brain: i HAVE to make repetitive movements
Talita's brain: i HAVE to track this small rapidly moving object

The dialog in this is killing me because I started the animation before finishing the writing. This terrible work order was because I was very excited to animate more hands, and only now after reading multiple material science papers do I finally have all the speech bubbles filled in...hhhgh. Sometimes I do regret making my characters professionals in the advanced future version of fields I have no work experience in. They should have all been hydroponics farmers.

Seeing Shyam in motion makes it a lot more obvious how bad tailers are at being bipedal. Short legs and wide feet means they duck walk, and the huge tail puts their center of balance over their sacrum..

These animations make me so happy. The amount of detail and expression you put in is so amazing.

Shyam walks like me!

Talita (craving pepperoni): “Did you remember to grab some pepperoni sticks when you went to the corner store?” Shyam (forgot the pepperoni): *Rapid hand movements*

I love everything about this animation. What do Shyam’s footsteps sound like? Are her shoes and feet soft and flexible enough that she walks mostly silently, or does she make little “plap plap” noises as she walks?

Jay Eaton

She walks pretty quietly, the bottom of the toed climbing shoes is a soft flexible grip. Running bipedally is way more awkward for her and would make the sound you're thinking of.

gosh, i rlly adore this, your rapidly growing skill in animation is super admirable. i gotta say too that its really refreshing seeing a take on stimming, especially hand flapping, done in a more mature way without sacrificing the intensity of the stim. also i love that little subtle grab at where her necklace should be.
