Most of the temp office workers at Ixion Recycling are avians, who despite being bird-ish have a weird problem when it comes to sitting. Rear leg perching isn't really an option for them if they want to sit and use their hands. Reclining chairs and futons are common fixtures in their households, but office work requires something more formal and ergonomic. Here the chair cushion sits underneath the keel bone of the chest, with adjustable wing rests lower on the chair. I want to keep tweaking this design, but I think for now it allows enough mobility of the arms without sacrificing comfort.

haha furginomics rules! Do any gmhs have to have modified chairs to support their bodies in a comfortable and functional way (ie, ones with tails or more than 2 legs)? Also, does Talita have to have custom-made furnature to accomodate her size and shape? Or does she just use a standing desk that's super high? Now im just curious about desk chairs for all species, haha.

Just noticed you've shifted back to giving the avians tails instead of using the feathers on their arms as tails. Is that just for this story, or is it a larger redesign?

Currently only skimmer avians have a "tail" (with no vertebrae, just a muscular knob with a forked fan), all the other flying avian species just have their shin feathers.

Chairs for tailed GMHs usually have either have a backrest on two prongs or no back rest. Talita's "office chair" at her apartment is a large mattress she either sits or lies down on. Most of her furniture is tweaked from available human furniture, usually to account to for her height, weight, and hand shape.
