Eyyyyy whats up guys... I'm baaaack. Still recovering but thankfully digital art doesn't require heavy lifting.

The plants on scud world use a cyan pigment for photosynthesis, but they produce an accessory pigment with a bright orange color. Similar to anthocyanin in Earth plants, they will use the orange pigment to protect themselves from intense sunlight and help camouflage some of their vulnerable foliage from herbivores. The plants in the desert especially like to adorn themselves in orange.
