   Heidi’s impression about the extravagant Metamorpha Island was that it would be just as luxurious and mythical as the rumors said. Considering how much she spent to get onto the resort in the first place, she found it rather odd that the staff had refused to give her any alcoholic beverages.    As Heidi passed her time gazing at an attractive man with golden blonde hair, she heard someone clinking glasses behind her. Turning around, she was met with a smiling waiter and a platter holding a variety of multi-colored, exotic drinks. Grasping a fizzy black drink with a pair of straw sticking out of the top, she wasted little time guzzling it down. Had she had perhaps waited a moment or two longer, she would have learned that the drinks carried with them some unusual properties.

   The last of the drops sliding down Heidi’s throat brought with them a sense of warmth that spread throughout her.
