This mod replaces EA's body hair textures with Luumia's textures. I have no intention of stealing Luumia's work here, but the game's textures are sooo ugly.

Note on the Last Update

There are now two variants of the mods (from mod version 1.0.1):

  • Also Women Version: Women can only get light body hair for legs or for arms. The back and chest remain without hair. Medium and heavy hair for legs and arms is also turned off.
  • Men Only Version: Women remain completely without body hair!

Please only install one version!

In addition, I have now removed the hairless ("bald") chest hair replacement. In the earlier version of the mod, the pubic hair was included for this chest hair version. Now it's all naked. Some users have complained that children have pubic hair because of my mod. Hopefully this will solve the problem. Please let me know if the issue has been resolved.

➡️ Important Statements

  • Yes, I took foreign textures and adjusted and modified them. Luumia explicitly allows its textures to be used as a base (with attribution). What I do. If you don't like it, don't use the mod.
  • I didn't convert all of Luumia's textures, just the minimum number needed to replace the original textures. This mod is a replacement mod, I do not intend to use all of Luumia's available body hair textures! So please don't complain why I took so few textures and not all. EA offers very few options: three arm hair levels (light, medium, heavy), three leg hair levels, three back hair levels, and six combinations of chest and stomach hair. This is too little. So of course I could not implement all national or genetic diversity. For example, I only used straight hair, but no curly hair. Mixing different types (curly and straight) looks bad. Then the Sims automatically generated by the game will be even uglier than they are. If you don't like it, don't use the mod.
  • I didn't use all 24 EA colors and just took the textures that Luumia already had. Who needs green body hair? So I made my choices e.g. green haired sims have blonde body hair etc. If you don't like it don't use the mod.
  • I didn't do the last third layer of back hair because there aren't any good separate textures for it. And I'm not that good with graphics programs to crop it really nicely. So the final third layer of hair is the same as the second. If you don't like it, you know...

Copyright

The original rights belong to the author. I just freely combined and adjusted some of Luumia's textures without recoloring them. I hope that at some point Luumia converts all of its wonderful textures so that they now work correctly in the new gameplay. So far I think my solution is acceptable.

Hi, I've noticed not all Luumia's options are there (there are versions of the body hair with more back hair, hair on the shoulders, curly hair, etc.). Is it possible to add all of them? Or could you explain to me how to add them myself? I would be happy to help out for free if it's not too hard. Thank you!

Yes, it's not all because it's just an override, meaning it only replaces the original textures and EA only has a small number. It is possible to expand. I'm putting this on my list but due to holidays I won't be able to start this until mid-August.

Awesome, I'll see if I can find some more info on how to separate textures and share whatever I've done with you. I'm quite busy as well, so I can't promise anything, but thanks for sharing this :)

You don't need to search for information, just open the file in an editor and edit it. The problem is finding the boundary between different parts of the body.
