Hey! If you missed it, I've been sick for the majority of January, so this month is free for anybody who stayed. Which means, this is not a proper update, as I wasn't able to work when sick, but a major transition for anybody who uses the Strip Clubs feature.


Strip Clubs had a rough start, as implementing a new business type came with a lot of unexpected challenges. One of the problems was introducing proper venue support, hence Strip Clubs were using the Nightclub venue type. This update changes that and transitions to a fully custom venue type. Nothing has changed in how you create a club, but a custom venue type greatly improves stability and removes limitations.

Because old Strip Clubs are still using the Nightclub venue type, you are required to sell your club and re-buy it. This will recreate the club with the new venue type. You will have to re-hire your dancers as well.

This change comes with a limitation in regards to the gallery. The new Strip Club venue type is not compatible with builds existing in the gallery so you cannot easily download them and use them. Perhaps there are ways to convert builds to the new venue type or compile community builds into a Tray package to share with everybody.

The option to sell your Strip Club is available on the phone while at the club lot.


This update is compatible with the 1.61.15 (February 4th) game patch.


Strip Clubs

  • Reworked Strip Club venue compatibility
New Strip Club venue implementation means that old Strip Clubs are not supported anymore. You are required to sell your existing Strip Club and purchase it again, as well as re-hire your dancers. This is necessary to continue development of Strip Clubs, as the new venue implementation comes with improved stability and feature expansion.
Strip Clubs that are based on Nightclubs are still functional, but will eventually be removed. Once removed, selling them will not be possible, but some way of cleaning them from your world will be introduced.
  • Made Dancing Spots placeable on surfaces [img]
  • Increased profitability from selling drinks
  • Added 'Clients Visitation Limits Switch' Strip Clubs Advance Setting
Disabling Clients Visitation Limits ignores their gender preference and their established relationships, meaning that anybody can show up no matter what they like or if they have a partner.


Sex Autonomy

  • Fixed sex autonomy using occupied kitchen counters
  • Fixed Island Living events members having sex in your house
Sims participating in the hidden Island Living events are now excluded from sex autonomy. This doesn't prevent them from invading your house, but it will prevent them from starting sex interactions.


Other

  • Added string tables for Simplified Chinese
  • Fixed base game outfit-removing interactions not working
  • Fixed clicking on objects with no tags causing errors

So the change in venue type basically just requires preplanning? Like place a nightclub strip club from gallery down in world mode and change its venue type in build mode then go back to playing and you're able to purchase it fine?

Hey! Ideally the lap dancing animations would simply be in the Teasing sex category, as there is no real difference between these "systems" except the undressing. Animators were told to do whatever they want with the animations, but I guess some didn't release them as sex animations. I'm not sure if expanding lap dancing like this is worth the complications.

Hi Turbo! What are those "Clients Visitation Limits"? It seems I'm first time hearing about them. Do they mean that sim can't visit strip club if they have a partner? And how does gender preference matters for visiting strip club? Could you explain this a bit more detailed? P.S. Thanks for the update. Hope you're feeling well.

As for the partner thing, it's not specifically mentioned, but Sims who are married are less likely to show up at the club. They aren't blocked from showing up, but it's rarer.

Hey TD, while my sim is living in Sulani, he's just had a couple come into his house for sex while he's out having a swim. One of them is wearing a cooks outfit so I'm thinking hes just come from the little event over the road where they are cooking food (that they never notify you about :( ). Not sure if this is exactly what you meant by Hidden island living events, but should this happen now? I can provide the save and log taken whilst happening if you need?

Get well soon! Not trying to get anything fixed, just mentioning a silly quirk that has been around forever and happens extremely often. My prostitute sim has sex with a customer on the sofa, and another household member sits down exactly where they're doing it. Looks like a threesome, but that third person is just watching TV. It cracks me up. No problem, though, I just switch to that household member and have them go somewhere else.

Hey! Sounds like you might have "Sex Location Reservation" disabled, as objects used for sex are reserved so others can't use them.

I only just started using strip clubs today, so if this has already been covered I apologize. But it seems the strip clubs are associated with a Retail shop and rely on Retail Perks. Currently I'm only able to hire (6) employees and since I can't use "Hire Staff" to hire separate bar tenders, I need to have at least one of those manning the bar. Unfortunately, I downloaded a (great) strip club off LoversLab that's about the size of a football field with almost countless stripper poles and dance platforms. When I try to use the Retail Perks to add an additional (2) employees, it doesn't let me go past the initial (6). Ideally, I would really like to have more... than 8, but at least 8 would let me man (or woman in this case) a couple of more stages. Am I doing something wrong, or is that just the limit?

Although I probably have about a million mods/packages installed, I believe you only need wickedwhips (installed properly) to lose the underwear. If it was working at one time and not working now, just start moving mods from your mod folder to a temporary directory outside of the sims4 directory and then go into cas and see if it starts working. The quickest way to check might be to move all mods except wickedwhims out, then adding them back chunk at a time until you narrow down the problem. One critical note, is to "never" save as your doing your testing in and out of cas. An example of that would be if you moved your "CC Hair" packages out to test for the underwear problem, inadvertently saved as you exited the cas/game and then went back in for another test.... You'd unfortunately find that you had "a lot..." of bald sims.... Don't ask how I know that :(

Converting old clubs: Seems like using an old club based upon the night club trait, then going into build mode to change it would do the trick. I'll not be able to test it anytime soon.

With your active Sim, open her phone, click on the household icon, and (depending on your installed expansions) you should have "buy a restaurant," "buy a retail store," "buy a strip club." If you don't have that latter option, then you need to reinstall/update mccc (if you use it) and ww and use the 50-50 method until you find the conflicting mod. Good luck!

Hey! You are required to sell it and buy it so that the game can apply the custom venue type and reload the zone director. There's no clean way to add selectable venue types, so re-buying is the only way.

Hey! As explained in the post above, you cannot change the venue type and you cannot place lots from the gallery once the strip club is created. It's a necessary limitation for the club to function. Your best way to handle it is sell the club, download a building from the gallery, and then buy it as the club.

hello first of all thank you for getting great mod frankly I love it, then I have a pretty annoying bug with the mod I remove all my mod and tested only with ww and it is the mod that bug, my sims in couple no longer have sexual interaction, is my single sims are unable to satisfy themselves alone on any bed, I can not wait for its to be corrected, but obviously turbodriver takes your time do not hurry ^^ I would wait for the update

Hi there, are Teens and Adults able to have romantic relationships with this mod? I see 2 Teens can "Have Sex" but there's no Romance option for a Teen with an older Sim. Love this mod so much and thank you for all your hard work! :)

I got a new computer and installed your mod along with Origin and The Sims 4 but i'm noticing my sims are constantly refusing sex proposals. I'm not sure if this has something to do with installing Origin at its most recent update?

Most likely, it's Attractiveness settings. Newly created sims often don't have any, and there's been a long running, very frustrating issue with them resetting. Turbo has been trying, but he can't duplicate the issue, so he can't figure out a fix.

Hello, I am having issues with getting my sim pregnant. I have removed all my other mods like basemental, nwp, and AEP Mod. Pregnancy debug repeatedly says "pregnancy coming: true" and "pregnancy discovery: true" but instead of my sim becoming pregnant.. "pregnancy coming" changes from true to false. I do not like taking a pregnancy test after to implement the pregnancy. I prefer natural discovery. I have had this issue in the past of my sim showing they were to become pregnant only to have it not happen. I even tried sending them to a fertility treatment which put them at 100% and the same thing happened. I do have default woohoo/try for baby enabled but I will try without it. I also noticed debug constantly reads "Pregnancy counter: 0" although I am unsure if that matters. This has gotten to a point where my sim who generally is always pregnant in ever save... is not as I am severely struggling which is why I had turned on default woohoo/try for baby for the first time in 2 years. I managed to get it to work, but only by moving in my sims partner and making sure they stayed on the same lot together after sex. Is it possible when the father of said pregnancy leaves the lot it doesn't count the pregnancy anymore? Usually, my sims partners will leave after sex, especially if they do not live together, and I noticed when they are no longer on the lot the partner ID in debug is blank. Thoughts? My sim living with his partner doesn't fit each save I make, and I really would prefer not to have to go through some crazy obstacle course to have them start a family. Yes, I am very aware I can use "try for baby"... but I prefer using ww.

Hi, I have this issue every time I try to update my WW version - the old version works but I get a notification that it needs to be updated, but when i remove the old version and install the new version non of the sex options are available in game. When I remove the new version and re-install the old version the mod works again. Any idea what's going on and how to fix it?

Hi I hope I am not posting this in the wrong place. I just started to explore the strip club and it is amazing. It is the most fun I have had playing the sims in a long time. I did run into a problem. I moved the family that owned the club to a new house. When I tried to sent them to the strip club the option had disappeared. Not only do that not own it but there is no option to purchase a strip club anymore. Has anyone had this problem and if so can you please tell me how you fixed the issue.

I posted on discord but then saw where it said it's better to post here. Are there any known issues getting sims to show up in the list to initiate sex? I turned on always accept , and turned on anything goes in the gender preferences, but it keeps telling me "no sims viable"

First, do you have animations for the location you're trying to use? Another thing would be the romance age restriction, if you're a teen and only adults are around, and you don't have the fix file, then no sims would be viable. "Anything goes" should take care of the other reason that would happen though: if there's only limited types of animations available for the location, and you plus any of the other sims don't fit.

Hey! Only an established household can own a Strip Club as you have to manually buy it, but once you do, and you set the open hours, the club will run on its own when you visit it.

Hey! You cannot change the venue to a Strip Club, that's not a thing. You buy a Strip Club using your phone. If you have issue removing the Strip Club venue, that is a known bug and I'm trying to find a solution for it.

Hey. Sounds like you're using old incompatible mods that connect with WickedWhims. You can't just update WickedWhims, you need to update your other mods as well so they don't break WickedWhims by their incompatibility.

Hey! Moved the family? It depends what you mean by that, because if you recreated the household or split it, then you lost the ownership. Ownership of businesses is tied the the household, so leaving that household doesn't transfer the business ownership. Not sure what I can suggest other than using the old household if it still exists. I haven't tested how the game handles businesses when this is done, it's a base game mechanic so I'm unfamiliar what happens.

I just want to let you know, and anyone else encountering the issue. I found a work around to remove the "stripclub lot type". If the lot was deleted, it remained a strip club and could not be removed, regardless of what lot was changed to. I removed Wicked Whims mod, including wicked whims save file from game. I than loaded game and went into home and played a minute, than saved and exit game. I just put back Wicked Whims mod back (not save file) and loaded up game. Stripper lot type was removed from the particular lot I couldn't change and could now be changed to whatever I wanted. I hope this makes sense and helps anyone else who is having this issue.

Hey! I'm aware this happens, but as of right now, there is no reliable information out there that would indicate why is that occurring. Majority of users don't seem to have this issue, but that might be incorrect, and I am not able to have it happen in my game at all to fix it. I've made many attempts to understand this and fix it, but so far nothing. If you have any information to contribute, that would help.

Hey! Of course removing WickedWhims and saving the game will purge all custom data from the game, including the venue type. Unfortunately this is an awful work around and I wouldn't recommend it to most, but it is an option.

Hi, just a random suggestion but is it possible to get 2 choices w/ the "client limitation setting". One being relationship status and the other being gender. I like being able to have a full club regardless of relationship status but when I do allow it, my club usually becomes full of women which is not the clientele I would like.

Hi! Can you please help me? I can't stop clients from walking on my stages. I read all the details in the initial post about the strip club and it mentioned something about enabling the "force routing restrictions switch" in the settings, but I don't see that anywhere. Is there a specific way I'm suppose to do it?

As a fix for the lot being locked as strip club and unsiwtchable once you sell it, re-purchase the lot as a different lot type such as retail. To bypass not being able to place lots from the gallery on your strip club, before purchasing the lot as a strip club, place the lot you want from the gallery, and change it to residential, make sure to buy it quickly before the randoms move in and voila!

What I did to fix the issue was, I made a door to access the backroom ( backstage) and locked it for everyone except employees...I then made another door inside the room that accessed the stage

Out of curiosity, does sex autonomy work at the strip clubs? also If I set static visitor to , lets say 20, no one shows up and my dancers all just stand in one spot. I have a very powerful PC. So I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong. Amazing Mod! Love it.

my teen YA sims can no longer have a relationship after updating, I tried downloading the inappropriate unliock but everytime it try to download it says the file is invalid or damaged :(

Hey! That's an interesting workaround and it makes sense, the only element that changes the venue is purchasing a business. At the same time, that's the main issue of fixing this problem, the only element that changes the venue is purchasing it as a business...

Hey! Sex Autonomy does work in Strip Clubs, but not for dancers or clients, this only leaves household members that are not dancers to be counted. As for the club not running, my assumption is that your lot has to be screwed up. If you're running the v151 release, the lot has to be set to the Strip Club venue or no of the club functions will work.

Hey! I can't help you with issues of downloading the files or them becoming corrupted, that could be either the browser you're using or your computer. But you're doing that correct thing to unlock what you're missing. Attempt using a different browser to download the files.

I am having a issue with placing a strip club. I have found some in the gallery and I would prefer to use those vs building my own but I am unable to place it as it says the venue doesn't match and if I place it then try to purchase it wont allow me too

Hey! Currently, once you purchase a lot for a Strip Club, you can't load one into it from the gallery, it has to be placed there before hand, as the post above explains. The current implementation is has unforeseen consequences that are limiting usability, but I'm working on resolve it somehow.

Hey there, Strip Clubs are an excellent addition! I have a problem of supplies not being delivered. For the last 4 in game days, it says I'm at zero inventory, and I've ordered 100 out of 100, but nothing gets delivered. Is there some way I can reset this so it works properly again? I've got a bar that can't sell anything. Maybe sell the club and buy it back?

this is a known bug. that was discovered way back in Jan. the workaround is to cheat supplies. If you check the forum [https://wickedwhims.discourse.group/] its mentioned there. Cheat code: ww.set_bar_supply

Hey. If you're using v151 with the newest Wicked Perversions, then you will encounter problems. You need everything to be fully up-to-date.

I have one single sim that refuses to show up for work at the club. She can be hired, but never shows up and if she shows up at the lot on her own, the pie menu for the strip club does not show up on her. I've fired her, rehired, rebuilt the club, etc, and nothing seems to help. Any idea what the issue may be? She is married to the owner.
