Status Update [2020-01-23] (Patreon)

Hey! This is a quick update on my current situation - what has been happening in January, what will be happening in February, and a new platform I'm slowly pushing.

Sick & Sick

The start of the year sure has been exciting for me, I got sick twice in two different ways and I'm still currently sick. The majority of the month has been spent in agony which resulted in very little progress towards development. The next planned project begun in December, but it's not only been difficult to work on, I simply couldn't physically do it.

In short, I wasn't able to do much, so I'm making February a free month, allowing me to catch up. In the coming days, you should see a banner on the top stating that you won't be charged for February.

Improved Communication

Somewhere in late 2018 I've thought about starting a forum that would replace the comment section on Patreon. It can be difficult to get through all of the comments, find them in different posts, load them in, suffer through their jankiness, no way to link people to different comments for already existing information, no ability to include images or files... it's a mess sometimes. So it took me a while, but I did it.

The Patreon Discourse Group links directly with your Patreon account and immediately lets you use it. It has everything that the comment section is lacking, so if you need a better way to provide information or have a conversation, please consider using it. And don't worry, the comment section is still here, I can't just disable it, use it as you see fit. Don't feel obligated to use the forum, sometimes it's quicker to just write a comment.
