Status Update [2019-07-12] (Patreon)

Hey! This is a quick update on my current situation, what the Streamer Mode is for, and follow up on the Patreon "investigation" into WickedWhims.

Almost Back

I'm almost back to developing WickedWhims like usual. I will be back home in 4 days. My time away got unexpectedly extended by 8 days, so I don't have as much time to prepare something proper for August, but I will try. I will make sure to focus on all the issues you're encountering recently and a new body part support.

Streamer Mode / Censorship

It seems like a lot of you are confused and download the StreamerMode/Censorship package file without understanding that it's for Streamers and that it adds censorship. This package file is mostly for Streamers and YouTubers. It adds censorship back into the game and censors sex.

Perhaps it's the case of downloading all that's clickable without looking. I will make sure to make a separate public post about this feature to avoid further confusion.

Teen/Adult Romance Interactions

Patreon Community Guidelines prohibit sharing any content that contains romantic/sexual interactions with possibly underage virtual people or incestuous relationships between these virtual people.

I can't officially provide or support the kind of content Patreon prohibits in their rules on their platform. These features cannot be added back to the mod. I would suggest looking for solutions on other platforms WickedWhims is available on or asking fellow users in the comment section for help. You don't need to sacrifice Patreon features for it, the public release is not the solution.

I want you to understand that besides the inner Patreon policies, this is not directly the fault of Patreon but them conforming with the bigger entities that control the money flow. It's hard to blame one person for it, it's a complicated mess of things. Moving away from Patreon because of this doesn't help either as it only hurts creators you might want to support.
