Modding Diary - Skin to Skin Contact + Tube Feeding (Patreon)

Hi Guys! I hope you all are doing well!

my surgery went really well last week, 😘to be fair it was just small surgery to fix an issue with my eye, I have had it before but last time I was in so much pain that I was bed ridden for days, but this time I barely had any pain at all which was nice.

and between last week and this week I was able to finish the skin to skin contact and tube feeding animation ‼️

this is what the skin to skin contact animation looks like:

sim will sit next to the baby as usual

 they will reach in to grab the baby and gently lift them up 

and place the baby on their chest

 sims will be seen talking and rocking the baby

and occasionally stroking the baby

 and they will gently put put them back afterwards

As for the tube feeding, the idea is that your sim can pump milk at the hospital and feed it to their baby using a syringe that is connect to their nasogastric tube

sim will pour the milk into the syringe

 and put their hands into the incubator while doing a motion that looks like they are connecting the nasogastric tube, unfortunately I can't animate tubes so this will have to do 🥲

and they will hold the syringe to feed their baby

its a little hard to see but there is a tube that goes from the syringe into the baby's nose

 this animation is about 27 seconds long, and most of it is just the sim holding the syringe, since there's really not much else they can do besides waiting.

and that is all I have for this week! Im really excited for how this is turning out :D

Next week I will make the moodlets and work on the functionality part a little bit, perhaps I should make a special premie formula for sims who aren't producing milk. 🤔
