Modding Diary - Skin to Skin (Patreon)

Hi Guys! I hope you all are well! 😊

This week I fixed the hospital gown issue many people were having. It hasn't been published yet, but it will be either tomorrow or Monday, so please stay tuned for that. I ended up having to write a script to fix the issue and Im honestly surprised the script I made actually worked .__. It was based on another script LeRoiDeTout wrote fro me a long time ago, but still, Im glad Im at the point where I can modify scripts to do things I want to do 🤗 I think its fair to say my scripting skill is a solid level 1 now lol

I also made some moodlets for the bond with baby interaction

Right now there are three sad moodlets and wo happy ones. I want to expand on this a little more later on. Based on my research it is typically very hard for parents to watch their baby in the NICU, I think it would be nice to make it so that sims can process their worries and sadness, possibly through talking with their partner or something, and have some kind of emotional growth🤔 but it's just an idea right now.

This week I also got started on the "hold baby" aka skin to skin contact animation. It is still a very early WIP and I only have a couple of screenshots for you where the sims dont look like a complete nightmare

I wish I have more to show you but everything decided to break on my today 🫠the Bond with baby animation and the moodlets were working perfectly fine yesterday but all decided to go bonkers today for no reason, and I had to spend hours doing emergency repair while questioning reality.

I am having a small procedure done on Wednesday to fix an eye issue 👁️👁️ so I dont think I will be able to put out a WIP update on Friday , so if that's the case I will see you the following week! 😊I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!
