Okay sooo guys, Im kicking off this month with a new series of solo reactions, As ive explained before Monica and I schedules are too conflicting so she couldn't join me on this journey, however doing the Marvel reactions has been such an experience and its got me thinking about other universes, that I just never gave time to check out, So I will be making my way through the DC universe starting with "Man of steel", I won't say too much about this movie as I want you to watch it and see for yourself, however this movie really did surprise me, there was some DOPE ass fight scenes which you know I live for, but the complexity of the issues Super man had to face In this movie, actually changed my thought process on who/what I thought superman was, anyways guys I hope you enjoy and until the next reaction take care!!!

You might wanna start with the Chris Nolan Dark Knight trilogy. it's not technically the DCEU and technically in a different universe. But they're widely considered some of the greatest movies (not just superhero movies) of all time. Monica would enjoy them too but understand if she doesn't have the time.

The Dark Knight Trilogy is a 100% must. Its not linked to the current DC batch of movies but they are top notch. As for Man of Steel it's one of those movies that a lot of fans really really love, some people actively dislike it including critics. I think the Superman killing thing is very controversial, but it doesn't bother me.

Rico, for the true interpretation of Superman watch... Superman: The Movie (1978) starring Christopher Reeve This movie really was good though. The next DCEU movie is... Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - Ultimate Edition (not the theatrical version, you should watch the Ultimate Edition) When you get back to the MCU with Monica you should watch... Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 next Watch Doctor Strange and Thor: Ragnarok AFTER Black Panther. Please. The movies work best this way. You will be happy you watched them this way. Fun fact: Both of "Superman's fathers" played Robin Hood.

Okay thanks Thomas will take this into account moving forward, I'm not going to lie it actually threw me off, I didn't think he was capable of doing it especially with all the restraint he had shown throughout the movie, but at the same time I feel like being proven wrong or being shown something different was a good twist because it opened my mind to something different.

Between this and the new Superman and Lois show, it just makes me sad. Can you imagine how much more amazing Smallville could have been if it didn't have the budget of $3. Also, if you rightfully have an issue with DC heroes killing, buckle up. Snyder's versions are straight up serial killers.

Great reaction Rico, we seem to really appreciate the same things in this movie which I find rare in a lot of Superman fans. I love the more realistic take on the way Jonathan Kent had to wrestle with what was the right way to advise Clark, the more realistic way Clark had to figure out his path, the consequences of Titans battling each other in populated places and the fact that he was forced to use lethal force on Zod was probably the strongest concession to realism that no one respects but I think was fantastic! Man of Steel and Wonder Woman are my favourites of the DCEU. When you get up to Justice League I have to strongly recommend you watch the Snyder Cut version. Joss Whedon came in a just wrecked it when Snyder had to take a leave of absence when his child passed away.

Just for curiosity sake, why do you see Jonathan struggling to parent Clark as any more realistic than the depictions in the Reeve's Superman film, or even Smallville?
