Happy Holidays! (and some introspective) (Patreon)

Hi! I'm alive and well, and hopefully you noticed that through the paused-pledge emails throughout the year. Speaking of, what a year!

Throughout the pandemic, I was looking for new jobs, contracts, and planning to move somewhere else in the world (which didn't happen yet with being all the certifications and papers in my hand, because, you know!). It was a lot for me to make me unavailable for any side projects, which I really like to do, particularly this! I'm sorry I couldn't get you anything in 2021 and being into all-out hiatus, but I'm eager to make some noise when I'm ready to.

I've been thinking of what I made throughout past year. Badtime Stories was about a 1 on 1 experience (maybe 1 on 1 on 1? i don't know!) with being a lot meta about dating sim without being a proper dating sim, which I enjoyed writing, making characters... an update per month was kind of taking a toll on me and I couldn't keep up many times, but it was a great experience for me. Time has passed and I couldn't do what I planned (which was a free full game released with revised stories, updated graphics, music and such) being in a not-so-great situation, and I think it would be realistic to accept that... it is what it is. Someday I could surprise you with the update on itch.io but I can't promise you it's going to happen but I certainly want to give my first game the one last closure (It did have an ending but still, it has been unwound in my head throughout the year).

What I'm planning to do in the near future is to start another game, this time a tad larger in scope. (because I got larger too... pandemic gain😉) I had trouble with deciding because I did want to make it big as possible but yeah again, the year 2021 made me so humble. It'll have multiple characters in a same room (which rarely happened in BS), gameplay(which is new too), 2d animation, and Tylos(...different Tylos, but hey, I love him!). The plan and roadmap has been in my hand for a while, and the only thing I need is to do my best to settle my life into a better place. And then I finally get go to ruin my whole plan and start making a big mess of a game, which I love to do so much.
