Dear All,

Rather than apologising for the lack of updates from myself on all fronts, I wanted to share some disappointing but none-the-less very proud moments for me as a business owner and friend that Friday will be James last day with CryptidTech.

Unfortunately for us, James has been offered a job with one of the worlds largest eGaming companies and compared to the current outlook for us, its 100% an opportunity he couldn't say no to.

Alas, we have now been chasing an external investment for nigh on 12 months without success and after the heartache of our deal with a private investor falling through, its left us in an untenable position in terms of his position and driving the franchise forward. This hit him arguably as hard as it did me as he's been with us for practically the entire journey from the post Pocket Pussies days to my reinvestment in the project that became Shards of Eradine. In all honesty I've been struggling to be motivated since we didn't close the deal in late March so I can only sympathise with his own decision and 100% support his move.

This doesn't mean the end for CryptidTech however, it just means we're down to a three person team and will mean more late nights and long weekends for me in the short term whilst we work out a more long term solution.

The content and events roster for Taps will continue as planned, and Tamara and Vadim are working hard on the schedule for 2019 so there will be no real difference in terms of new characters and sexiness from this perspective.

Our plans to expand ToE are unfortunately now on hold until I can either bring in new blood, or motivate myself to try to bring revenues back into the realms where I personally don't have to work a day job to keep the rest of the team getting paid, the servers online and go back to full time myself.

Revitalising the Patreon as promised would be a damn good start I know but when "Shards of Eradine" is being used as a way to describe a failed Kickstarter project by a studio that was making more a month on Patreon than our entire Offbeatr raise, its pretty damn difficult to find it in yourself to get back on that horse.

Anyway, I'll definitely be in touch soon once I find it in myself to carry on. Thanks for all the support as always.

it really breaks my heart hearing stories like this of indie game developers feeling down. I see it so often where all of a sudden a group of developers goes through a rough time, and hits a giant wall. I hope you guys are able to climb this wall, and prove to those stuck up animators at FOW that you are just as good as any of them could be. for just 3 people, I think your work is amazing. SOE and ToE are both of my top 5 played games, and I would be glad to support you more if I wasn't also facing a wall of my own. Don't forget about the hundreds of silent people that you make happy, and ignore the loud few that are upset. People don't hear enough how much they positively affect those around you, and I just wanted to say that indie devs like you inspire me to try my best in hopes that one day I'm as successful as you.
