Oy, I finally got the audio pulled from the Marlin show. I got a good take of J Brig's set, but the batteries in my field recorder died during the first song of our set. I know I have about 50 solid minutes of recording time now before I need to swap the batteries. Lots of fun new project ideas are floating around in the psychic spychick sphere. As wild and great as it was to blast into so much art and music and performance over the past 7 months, it's nice to have a bit of a creative play period with nothing specific to work toward. The current low key project is getting a digital gallery of all of our visual art together on wordpress. Also to, like, slow down and watch clouds and stuff.

I'm fully commuting by bike for the foreseeable future since my borrowed car broke down last month. I had a whole misadventure buying another car a week ago that blew up less than a mile from where I bought it. Things like this always seem to snowball so quickly and comically, I can't help but find some grand sense of humor in the heart of it all. So, I will continue to ride my bike by the battered and abandoned shell of the car that was stolen last April, give it a nod, and feel hot and tired and grateful that my body can do that 12 mile commute by bike twice a day. It's not as hard as it was last year. Like my muscles remember. Is that why they say that about things-you-remember; that they are like riding a bike?

As we stumble full bore into the summer this year, remember to play, and don't forget to rest. The past few years have aged us all.
