What is new in version 1.5.5?

This is a minor update to SCCO to add the new items added by the Realm of Magic game pack, adds a new feature, and fixes a few bugs.

Taste First Cookbooks

I was asked to find a way to remove the unlock from the recipes for those that did not want to go to eat all of the market stall food to learn the recipes. So instead of making a new version of all of the EA recipes... I have made 4 new cookbooks that will teach you them instead! :)

You can purchase these cookbooks from any bookshelf, computer, or anywhere else books are sold. They are each §200 and will teach you every recipe for that game pack that is "taste first" locked.

But what is "Taste First Recipes"?

These are recipes that can only be learned by eating them. You would have to go to the location that the recipe was sold and taste the dish before you were able to cook it at home.

These cookbooks must be read from your sims inventory. The interaction menu on the bookshelf to "Read" will not work.

(I will be looking into this later to maybe adding a skill for "Recipe Learning" so you can read from the sim inventory or bookshelf and have it be more immersive.)

Books Included:

  • Cookbook: Cultural Recipes - Teaches all City Living Taste First Foods
  • Cookbook: Experimental Recipes - Teaches all Dine Out Taste First Foods
  • Cookbook: Jungle Recipes - Teaches all Jungle Adventure Taste First Foods
  • Cookbook: Seafood Recipes - Teaches all Cats & Dogs Taste First Foods

Realm of Magic - Cauldron Cooking

With the release of the Realm of Magic game pack, we got a new item, the cauldron! With the cauldron we can cook a few classic favorites in bulk!

First, I updated the cooking menu for the cauldron. I am just not a fan of the bubble pie menus when it comes to anything that has ingredients. So I have changed the menu to the normal full window listed menu for recipes.

Next, I adjusted the ingredients to the recipes. They now match their stove version of the recipe.

Recipe Ingredient changes for:

  • Cauldron Chili
  • Cauldron Mac n' Cheese
  • Cauldron Cioppino

Cauldron Custom Recipes Menu

I have added SCCO's classic "Make Custom" menu to both of the new cauldrons added in Realm of Magic. There is now a "Homestyle" option found under this menu.

They are currently blank and will be expanded on in the future. For now, it will be grayed out like the above image.

Memo: I tried to have the recipes available this update but they are a little harder to figure out than anticipated... and I am unable to even recreate an EA recipe on the cauldron. So as soon as I can actually get them working properly they will be added. :)

Tag Adjustments and Price Adjustments (## IMPORTANT READ ME ##)

Some of you may have noticed that I removed the ability to let you purchase things like garlic, honey, and city living spices from SCCO's grocery purchase menus in the last two releases of the mod. This was in testing to add a new version of adjustments.

Choose if you only want the "Tag Adjustments" or "Tag & Price Adjustments.

You will not be able to use both files. So you will have to pick the one file you want to use. Read below for the differences.

What are Tag Adjustments?

Tag adjustments will allow you to be able to purchase harvestable items that EA did not tag as purchasable from a vendor. Such as garlic, honey, and spice market spices. It also fixes some EA double tags, where one item is tagged for both fruit and veggie. As well as things showing up under incorrect tags, like spinach showing under flowers.

What are Tag & Price Adjustments?

Tag & Price Adjustments give you all of the tag changes mentioned above and changes the purchase price for all EA harvestables. Including all fish, flowers, veggies, fruits, and herbs! This way all of the EA prices are closer to the price of SCCO ingredients and more realistic.

Full list of Price Adjustments can be found here

Give Your Opinion ~~ <3

Do you think the prices need to be adjusted further? Let me know! You can tell me about any of your suggestions in #patreon_suggestions or #public_suggestions on Discord!

--------------------------------------------

NOTICE: Previously Made Custom Recipes

This update also now includes all custom recipes that have been made previously.

Including Southern Biscuits, Mermaid Favorites, and Junk food Party Snacks

If you have any of these installed as separate files, please delete them. All custom recipes that require SCCO ingredients will now only be included in updates of SCCO!

I re-uploaded the file. You should find it now with the old "tag" adjustments so you can choose which ones you want. Sorry about that.

You do amazing work!!!! I do have a question. . . I'm pretty new to using mods for the sims, I just wanted to make sure that you haven't updated the city living recipes. If you did then I have to figure out what I downloaded wrong!!!

SrslySims

Hi Jamie, I would be happy to help if you could hop on the Discord server. :) I have done city living, as well as all EA food recipes to current date.

Thank you sooooo much for helping and all that you do!!! . .. also when you said head over to discord, would that be in the general chat area? Just downloaded that recently and Im getting use to it slowly

Glad you got it working, and I hope you enjoy. On discord there are many different channels for specific things. You can read the channel #channel_descriptions to get brief info, but if you are ever unsure feel free to post in general chat.
