Hello hello! At long last, I bring you a functioning new battle prototype.

This build has a tutorial, regular battle, and 4 boss battles. Queen->Ardura can be played (sorry Natasha fans, I don't entirely know what I want to for her skills yet)

The philosophy for the new battle mechanics is simple:
Player attacks enemy (enemy HP goes down)
Enemy attacks player (player HP goes down)

How do we have fun? We give the girls their own skills they can use to "fight" the enemies faster.

How do we make enemies stronger? We give them annoying attacks like Boris, who can attack 4 times in a row. Goblins have their own healers. The King of Avia has a chain to grab onto any girl he wants (let's just ignore the fact that Scarlett is in that battle for now okay?)

How do we not get overwhelmed? Battles come in waves of enemies, with a max of 3 enemies at a time. From my testing, fighting 3 guys IS overwhelming if they're all strong (King of Avia battle) and that's okay because it's a boss battle that requires you to think.

Character Philosophy

Here are my thoughts on how the girls should be played.

Queen: A leader role who can heal the girls to keep them in the battle. She is really good with her mouth, and can force mouth damage using her kiss attack. She requires another skill, but I don't know if it needs to be DPS or utility.

Suki: Glass cannon. She can pin down an enemy and do lots of damage, but can't stick around long enough to survive multiple enemies. Suki torments boys, she needs another skill to reflect that.

Esxea: Esxea is tiny and can be fucked quickly. Like I mentioned above, I want to re-work her skills to accommodate that. 

Scarlett: Crowd control. Scarlett's whip attack gives all of the girls time to regen health and SP. If it's just one enemy, Scarlett can handle them by repeatedly stomping on them so that she takes less damage. And to top it off, she can force tit damage to anyone by breastfeeding them, that skill even works when you switch girls. Imagine Queen kissing you, while you suck on Scarlett's tit, while Suki pokes your butt, while fucking Esxea as fast as possible. That's a deadly combo!

Ardura: Good for fighting bosses. Her enrage ability requires 100 SP, but will do chunk a boss down. Her attack rate is low, so you're usually better off fighting with a different girl. If need be, she can be a tank and reflect damage for a bit.

Natasha: She is not in the prototype yet, but I think she needs a heal move, maybe for the lowest HP girl in the party? Maybe she has life drain type moves? That's more like a warlock instead of a nice little magic elf girl. I'll go stalk some MMOs and see what kind of skills mages have.

What I'm still working on:

  • Queen needs another skill
  • Suki's skills require a lot of SP, I want to give her a low SP attack
  • Esxea's skills should revolve around her attack speed, I will probably remove her shield skill
  • Ardura needs another skill
  • Natasha
  • Art and sound stuff for skills and enemy attacks
  • Some animations are not fullscreen
  • The King of Avia boss battle is probably a little too hard and it's okay if you're losing, I'll work on it

So I tested it and I actually like new style, I like the larger Al box for the animations, before had it seemed like a waste of an animation because you could hardly see it in the smaller box , overall I like it! The actual combat I don’t have much of an opinion about, it really was just the animation box being much larger I think is a good idea,, although I think it would be better left to be able to to have multiple enemies attacking at once still? Maybe make it a scaling thing? At level 10 they can take 2 at once and then by 25 they can take 4 at once?

Most mmo mages are the backbones. They are healers, great with long distance attacks etc. Like summoners, mages stand no chance against up close attacks seeings that they have no ability nor skill for up close encounters. So giving natasha to abilty to heal is not a bad idea at all. You would just have to make it stand out from all the other mmos.
