Ah man, it's such a shame Joey's not gonna give Arcane another episode. I do feel that perhaps people pushing him into watching it marred his expectations of the show, but I suppose that just comes with the price of wanting to share something we think is amazing to another person.

bro joey having no knowledge of league and coming into arcane with fresh eyes and basically calling the first episode mid but nicer made me so happy. i really do think that arcane got way overhyped and i personally thought there were way better stories from league they couldve started out with that are so much more interesting. but, vi and jinx's story is a very familiar story, easy for non league people to watch and so became the "safe" choice. and joey, the rest doesnt get that much better, honestly.

Idk what you're talking about dude, I know absolutely nothing about league and I thought it was an excellent story. Sure, episode 1 isn't the most gripping thing ever, but its just meant to set the stage for the rest of the story. Arguably, the whole first three episodes are just the prelude for the real story, and even then they're still quite interesting

They should have told Garnt to watch the first episode of the original FMA first. Brotherhood's first episode is essentially a recap as they seemingly assumed people had seen the first series. FMA's first episode is one of the greatest hooks of all time in any medium.

hey man, if you liked the story for arcane, good for you. for me, again the story was just mid. its just a story ive seen rehashed many many times. i say its overhyped cause the animation and music carried it. but again, a very easy story for non league people to digest, case in point for you.

well more like the first few episodes are recaps, the Nina episode for example was a whole arc in FMA 2003 iirc.

Yeah I think FMAB is rushing too fast at the beginning. The priest arc and especially the Nina arks just don't have the same impact as in the first TV. And even aside from beginning, it has really nice vibes of its own. It's much slower, but in a good way. Kinda like Frieren, in terms of having filler-like episodes with seemingly irrelevant stories, but they actually engaging and thought-provoking and simply beautiful. They probably ARE actual fillers, but somehow it was my favorite part of the TV-1

What? I like ff7 don't get me wrong, but that story isn't anything amazing IMO, especially when compared to other final fantasy games. I'll take 6 and 10's stories over 7 any day of the week. Arcane though was freaking awesome.
