Part prequel, part season 2.5, Queen Charlotte tells the story of... well, Queen Charlotte! She's not exactly my favorite character from Bridgerton... but perhaps this will make me appreciate her more when season 3 comes around?

the granddaughter wasn't referenced in season 1. one of their children had died many years before the series and that was the reference. The king is alive in Bridgeton times and just has severe mental disability (i cannot be more specifc) so much that he is normally alone or not with the ton

Bridgerton made it seem like the king had dementia, but I think they're hinting at something else that had always been there mentally/healthwise with him because of all his odd behavior (at his young age)🤔 yes in present he is still alive. & the "great experiment" is fictional, the royals in the show called it that to explain Charlottle (who is part black) marrying the King. So his mother decided to make it look like thats what they always wanted, by including other POCs into ton society. I think that was all your questions😅
