Well, this came sooner than expected...

Less than a month after its release in theaters, Spiral is available to watch at home with your best pals! I gathered a coupla my best pals, Jake & Mike, together to see what they thought of Chris Rock's take on the franchise... but are the twists starting to get a little more predictable in the ninth installment?

PS. The weird shot I mention at the end of the track is at about 1:15:47 in the movie. Forgot to give the timestamp!

At the first trap and my main problem with the movie is already being discussed haha! I don't think any of the traps were realistically escapable like classic saw. Maybe that was intentional? Especially the finger one I feel like he gave it a pretty good go trying to get out and didn't have enough time

Loved watching this the first time with you guys, kinda 50/50 on if I like this or not, loved the style.... but something just felt off every other scene LOL 😂

Feels like a Directors cut maybe worth seeing here, lots felt cut down. Also everytime they make these i lowkey hope it's not good cause i have had an idea for years and there's always hope ONE DAY! haha

I’m such a SAW obsessive but I think I have to disagree and say that Jigsaw reluctantly beats Spiral… One of my rewrites would be that the killer is filming and sharing videos of the traps with the intention of discouraging other dirty cops. This way, we could have plausibly ‘seen’ Max/Charlie in his trap as he fakes the video and then the reveal that he’s alive would be more effective. I’m also in the camp that the franchise needs to be a TV show at this point so we can have time to build up a cast of characters and backstories so that the mystery plot can actually work and replicate the soap feeling of the connected movies. Do you think a TV show could work? Do you want a Logan vs Charlie ‘Battle of the Jigsaws’ movie?

I like the title more in europe which isn't "Spiral: From the Book of Saw" but "Spiral: From the legacy of Saw" since it shows it to be more separate from the saw series

i feel like if they didn’t mention jigsaw people would be like this is just a saw ripoff! guy doing traps to kill bad people. however they never say (or maybe i missed it) why he chose to emulate jigsaws whole style

Eric's passion for the franchise and the boys being back together made these (Jigsaw + this) so much more bearable for me lol. Absolutely loved these tracks
