Looking back on April 2022 (Patreon)
Content
Hey guys,
Just thought we'd have a look back on April, and also what's been happening behind the scenes... Let's say... This month has been extremely interesting.
Coming out of March, we were checking out the mini-arcade cabs with a comparison between them all. Still there's been no talk of the Egret 2 mini hack as the guy started on hacking Tamagochi... Well... Priorities are like opinions, right? :/
We then got hold of PXN's wheel controller. It works for Batocera- but not EmuELEC. We mentioned as to why it doesn't work with EmuELEC- and the reply was something along the lines of "we're using older, more compatible code" ... Sometimes the logic astounds me- that a more compatible code, makes this device less compatible. Looks like Batocera is the way to go if you want to use this device with your oldschool arcade racers.
A few game lists were explored, including the one from the "AstroCity Mini-V". Seriously. It seems that Truxton has it's fans... But damn... I'm not one of them. Seems that opinions can't be shared no more. But don't worry... We'll keep pushing our own til the sun goes down. Damn. Every day? Uh... (Didn't quite think this through)- Either way, Truxton ain't fun (for me)
Which led to a trail of A500 videos.
Now don't get me wrong. This mini is at most ALRIGHT at stock. But that's only if you use a third party controller. The controller that it comes with ... Is crap. Seriously. Just use a spoon, you'd have a more responsive piece of hardware.
But what this did, was pretty much wake us up to a TON of new possibilities, not only on the modding of the A500 mini... But also what can be done after this. dajoho worked out a ton of decent stuff that will be worked into the regular Pandory release- including even Linux machines.
Things are looking up for the next few months. Should be fun in a bun!
Hope you're all having a blast, and please enjoy the latest version of Pandory!
All the best fellers,
Team Pandory
