Regarding 2021 Pandora Box Products (Patreon)

ATTENTION:

We need to pull the recommendation of the Pandora Ex2 series.

Newer releases of the Ex2 with firmware 2021-03-03 blocks the exploit which makes Pandory jailbreak possible.

You WILL still be able to add games with our tool and use Pandory PSP FIX, but unfortunately 4:3 aspect, VGA brick protection, and retroarch are currently not possible.

It may only affect the products with the step in the top of the case, but we will need more data to clarify.

PG3D+ [7000 games] is also a product to avoid.

It has the s905 chip (not the s812), and performs much worse than the two year old PG3D.  EmuELEC can run on it, however the sticks/buttons won't function unless you add a zero latency USB encoder and totally re-wire your sticks/buttons.

All in all, 2021 has been a bit of a crap year for the release of these products.  The two mentioned above, and we could add the disappointing Pandora Box EX to the list.  Not due to the hardware, but the shoddy software.

We hope that the creators of these products can stop dragging their own feet, and actually wise up to what they're doing. - Killing any faith, trust and hope in the Pandora Box lineup.

If they don't change their course soon, they will be blown out of the market by the first clone that can run EmuELEC / Batocera properly.
