If you watch the making of series, bridging the rift, you'll see that the ekko/jinx scene is extra sentimental to the animator. Good stuff

Melbell

I understand that Viktor is dying and is taking drastic measures but I don't think him taking the shimmer can be blamed on Jayce at all, Viktor not even a day before said there is always a choice and he made his. I feel like because of his illness people infantilize Viktor but he's an adult like most of the characters on the show and he's making a scary decision that I do not feel comfortable with. Even the scientist (Singed) warned him and he still made that choice knowing what the consequences could be.

Baronizer

you have to understand that jayce is still very young and all this got pushed onto him. he isnt making good decisions or has experience or anything. mel is influencing him for her own agenda, of which you will find out more soon p.s. should have waited for the discussion lol

Kwuagga

caitlyn took a page out of the naruto handbook

Regarding the scene at the end, where Jinx lets slip the grenade out of her hand: I once watched a reaction by some with a degree in psychology and she mentioned that Jinx (amongst other issues of course) has suicidal tendencies, which doesn't always mean she is trying to actively kill herself, but wouldn't bother to let it happen or would expose herself to potentially life threatening situations. Interesting aspect, I think.

Also don't forget that the current conflict started by a terror attack of jinx that killed people and also stole the gemstone that has the potential to create a super wapone. Also Marcus influecend him to do what he needed to make shure he can stop cait and vi from getting back up.

You are the first people that I see that don't totaly hate on Marcus. Marcus is the one normal person in the middle of "super heros". His whole thing in the beginning he has a strong believe in what's right and worng. Makes one mistake out of ignorance, by thinking he can use Silco. And than he is trapped for the rest of his live, cause he's not a hero. He can't fight back Silco cause he is to scared, like we were shown in the "fake blow up" sceen. And that's it, he is not evil just no hero.

What this show relly is playing with is our expactations how 'good' and 'evil' people in shows look like. If someone looks onhealty they must be evil and unreasonable and if they are pretty, jung or cute they are the good guys, right? As we get along we get closer to a real world, everyone is grey and has a perspective and diffrences in what's the way to get better. In this episode we get shown more of Silcos backstory/ motivation (again). Earlier when talking to vander why they started their revolution they said to get their people out of the mines. In this episode why see how toxic the air in there is. That put's into perspective why (beside his personal betrayl) he hated the state that vander kept the under city in with his deal so much. His archetype is a freedom fighter and if he woudn't look and move so steretypical 'bad guy' our instinct would be to cheer for him way more. He is in that regard a mirror to heimerdinger.
