Here the battle between the wolves ends pretty quickly and conclusively.

I had some more fun with the facial expressions here on the wolves. Not entirely sure how I’ll be able to carry that through to finished drawings, but I really want to try to capture the spirit of these goofy eyes and screams.

And here we see young Wilfrith… where I suddenly realized that I hadn’t designed his wilderness hair yet? And immediately went off the rails with it? It’s one of those details that I told myself I would refine in subsequent pages as something that makes more sense to design after I’ve roughed out every angle of it that will be shown on the pages.

I’m really bad with voluminous hair (I’m writing that down as a goal as something to improve in the next project I guess!). Keeping its shape when it rotates in 3D has always been a challenge, so I’d like to know every angle needed and design with that knowledge in mind here.
