I thought I was really going to struggle with this page when I sat down to start, and then it all just came together effortlessly. I think this is about the point of the story where I finally had a solid grasp of how to draw the characters. Naturally, it’s the last scene. But that’s just how comics does you dirty.

I still really like that third panel as a finished piece on its own. One day I’ll be brave enough to call that finished, but not today!

But also saying the above, I love the lines on the finished finished panel 3, so I’m happy I get to preserve both and share both with you. It’s really important for me to have both to look back on so I can learn more inking lessons in the future.
