Oh how these pages gave me grief! Animals never seem to get any easier for me, and yet I keep forefronting them in my stories.

In Wilfrith and the Golem Stonemason, the wolf drawings in the beginning were a lot more realistic—or rather literal real life wolves—than I think was necessary in retrospect? So for these pages I really tried to push my cartooning to give them more human expressions which I hope to carry through to the finished drawings when I have to make them look less preliminary.

A big key here for me was to show the difference in size and power with the compositions and the motion, which I think it starts to get at.
