This is the section of story where the faces hadn't yet geled for our characters, and the storytelling is a lot rougher than I'd like, but I think it serves as an interesting time capsule for that weird awkwardness that threads through Alpha Flag.

It introduces us to Foxtrot, Hotel and the hole disease. It finally offers a couple answers, bundled with a dozen more questions, some of which that are only starting to come into focus in the current pages.

It was a really interesting, dynamic phase of the comic to be in. It could become anything at this point, both in the story and the collaboration with Renee. You can see us awkwardly trying to figure out just how to make a three-colored aspect work in the panels where Charlie is summoning Foxtrot. It eventually leveled out into a reactive color change based on the other aspects of the scene, which I think works for Charlie's shifting role and positions in the various contexts we find him in.
