In a galaxy far, far away, a genetic engineering company known as Raan Biotech had made a discovery. Varactyls had, through the millennia since the organization's first foray into genetic engineering, become very genetically malleable. Seeing an opportunity to breed an assassin as agile, strong, durable and energetic as the Varactyls and deadlier than any assassin before to hand over to the highest bidder, the clandestine organization began modifying several generations of Varactyls. Each generation was closer and closer to perfect anthropomorphy and sentience. Finally, they achieved one perfect specimen. The female Varactyl was thoroughly sentient and intelligent far beyond the expectations of the company. The company named her Banalizne.

Two decades following Banalizne's birth on Denon, Raan Biotech began trying to train her as an assassin. It annoyed the project's directors that she was more compassionate than would befit an assassin, but continued anyway. She was their best female specimen. The first week saw her forced through several physical tests, succeeding each one, being taught infiltration, escape, subterfuge and many other skills useful to an assassin. The day after this, her instructor tried to have her torture a prisoner, giving her a low-power vibroknife and incapacitating tranquilizer in a syringe to torture the subject. Banalizne couldn't stand this. As her instructor turned his back to check an incoming report, she jabbed the syringe into his shoulder, incapacitating him. She cut the rope of the prisoner and helped him escape, the two using the skills she had learned to escape the facility, stow away on a freighter and go their separate ways, with the prisoner going back to his home on Coruscant and her going to Dantooine, which was moderately settled by then, in search of a better, more peaceful life.

Banalizne does have an origin story. This old, short, written excerpt does explain how she came to be.
